This question is directed toward those that use non-DMX DJ lights such as sound active, auto, etc. I currently use the below lighting control switch system. It controls lights such as the mini Kintas, Cubix, etc and turns them off and on obviously. I have the switch portion mounted in my rack but since I now have powered speakers I no longer have a need to haul that gator case around.

So I'm looking for what others use to turn your non-DMX lights off & on. This system works great, but I was wondering if there was something out there that is table top possibly. Plus on my current system I have never used the "flash buttons" along the bottom of each switch.

I use one very similar to yours. Mine is the Eliminator ET-8 Pro. It has buttons for a strobe and fog machine also (which I don't use), but looks a lot like yours otherwise. I don't use the flash buttons either. I'll be using DMX before long, but I DO like the simplicity of my current setup.

For my primary (large) rack system, it's mounted in the rack, and I have a connection on the rear of the rack to run the serial cable to the power module. For my small system, I have a separate small rack case with another ET-8 mounted in it. I usually don't use lights when I use my small system; like at smaller venues, but I have it for just-in-case.

I used the same switcher, then went DMX, then ditched it. The problem with the switcher is that a lot of the more modern fixtures have a startup cycle where the fixtures does something stupid like big flashes or strobes. My setup for the past several years is I wash the floor with a colorstrip(s), which are plugged in from the start (or right after dinner). Once dancing starts I plug in my Martin Acrobats. After that, the fixtures stay on all night. I've ditched all lasers. Photogs hate dealing with the green and red dots.

With that, do you have to be on or provide your own wi-fi router to make a network?

In the product description:

"The Airstream WiFi Pack creates a private standalone WiFi network, no existing network infrastructure required. "

The app to control it runs on iOS. I have a small iPad, but I don't use it with my DJ setup... one more computer to deal with.[emoji4]

I have the app and a 4-pack of the IR transmitters. Basically the same commands as the standard IR remote. I assume the bridge allows it to do that without IR. Unless they've updated the app (haven't tried it in a few months), there wasn't a lot of features. The Chauvet one had more (Flarecon Air).

From what read this is a simple on off control

There are 3 menus, but with the IR version, you need to point it at the device to make it work .. not really sure how it works from the DMX bridge (and that bridge is like $400).

**EDIT** I looked up the Airstream DMX app .. it's far different than the Airstream IR one and closer to a software DMX one .. might be interesting if you use ADJ or Elation gear ... Airstream DMX on the App Store

I used the ADJ / Elation Co-Pilot for years.
I bought the wireless attachments, so I could set it up anywhere near an AC outlet.
Not sure if they make them anymore...but you can find them on Ebay and CraihsList.
They have on/off switches, flash switches, you can control 8 or 16 fixtures,
it can control a fog machine, and has a built in chase.
