This is the biggest night of the year to go out and party. So what am I doing?

I'm tearing apart a Chauvet 350 LED Spot to figure out why it isn't dimming properly. I figured it was the LED driver, and it looks like I am correct. If I had a tracing scope it could confirm 100%, but a parts swap seemed to fix it.

In case you ever wanted to see inside one of these fixtures here is a picture:

Here's the culprit, under $50 for a new board from Chauvet:

It took me a minute to figure out why it would be such a big party night I forgot you guys do Thanksgiving late ;)

I just got in from Walmart needed to make a TP and Tim Horton's run :)

I have a sh**load of things I should be doing but the only thing that will be getting done tonight is a little SEO job for a friend of mine

Sitting at home drinking a chocolate milk and signing the lease on the brand-new office space that I'll have starting on January 1st.

2 weddings booked this week... that's 28 for next year so far.

Life is good. Happy Thanksgiving!

Cooking... Having Thanksgiving at my daughter's house tomorrow, and I'm doing the Oyster Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, and Squash Casserole. Cooking tonight means no pressure tomorrow... just watch Football![emoji1]

Earlier, I went over to my Podcast partner's page, and we did a 34 minute podcast briefly recapping the charity event we hosted on Saturday, called a Solo Guitarist up briefly to have him on the show since he performed at the event. Then I came home, and I walked 2 miles around the neighborhood, and reached my 10,000 steps for the day. I am now watching videos on YouTube. About to make a Rum and Diet Pepsi and relax for the rest of the night.

Thinking about making a Facebook Ad to throw on facebook for tomorrow, and maybe the entire weekend. Debating if I just want to do Thanksgiving, or all weekend...So many are out shopping Black Friday, I am not sure the ad would have much effect after tomorrow.

Funny thing... I don't keep track, and it's the one feature of DJ Event Planner that doesn't work. I do look at the $$$ total though, and based on where I'm at now with those 28, the business will sustain itself into 2018 and beyond.

Hmm??? Rum and Diet Pepsi???[emoji1] Think I need to run to the Liquor Store and get some Rum!!![emoji1]

Get some real pop to go with it though....That diet stuff will kill ya ;)

No, no, no... [emoji1] The rum fixes the Diet Pepsi, and the Diet Pepsi neutralizes the Rum... It's actually a HEALTHY drink![emoji1] ... Drinking some now. Feeling healthier already![emoji1]

I can't do a lot of regular Coca Cola or Pepsi. The Sugar in it breaks my face out. I have 2 regular Pepsis, and the next day I have pimples on my face. ...Same with Chocolate. I eat a King Size Snickers or Reeses Fast Break Bar (I LOVE them) and I have pimples the next day.

I stay away from stuff with a lot of sugar. ...Diet drinks aren't good either, but I like the taste of Diet Pepsi, and am just addicted to it. I go through 4 2 Liter bottles a week at home.

I actually prefer the Diet Coke with Lime... actually comes with the lime flavor in it. Have trouble getting it sometimes, so my next choice is just regular ole Diet Pepsi. Rum is good! [emoji1]

I've grown to like black Rum over the years. White rum I can take or leave.

I gave up aspartame about 6 months ago amazing what that stuff does to the body. My vision has improved and my BP has dropped slightly on average. I even dropped a few pounds

I've always heard it is a huge party night, but I've never really witnessed it. I haven't had a Thanksgiving Eve gig in a few years, but when I did the parties weren't that great.

My younger brother is in town and I enjoyed a meal with my family (immediate family) this evening before getting together with the larger group tomorrow.

Now, just kicking back with a scotch on the couch :) Cheers everybody!

Black rum, huh? I'll have to try it. I drink brown/gold rum. Funny story; when I was in Art School, my dad moved St. Lucia, and bought a boat to run scuba diving charters. On St. Lucia, they made rum... Mount Gay Rum. My dad bought it by the gallon jugs. I went down there on my first Christmas break. Never having had an alcoholic beverage in my life, my dad thought it would be funny to get me drunk. So we started drinking rum & cokes. He kept giving me these drinks, and of course he'd have one too. Not sure how many we had, but it was more than 10. My dad passed out, and I barely had a good buzz. The next morning I didn't even have a hangover. He was SO angry because I drank him under the table[emoji1]. I figured out I have some kind of strange tolerance for rum, because I can't drink gin or vodka the same way. Ever since then, if I go somewhere where drinking is expected, I drink rum and coke, and never get drunk. I've been to SO many parties in my life where everyone got plastered, but I was the only one who could remember everything that everyone else did or said (or exposed).[emoji1]

It was never really a party night. Yeah, I know some Clubs in D.C. had Thanksgiving Eve Parties YEARS AGO. I don't think I have seen any of those ads in at least 9 years. The Platinum Club on F Street use to throw a party.

It's "BIG" for BARS. Lots of people get off of work, and go out to Bars to kick in the 3 day weekend, and have a few drinks. Bartenders usually do well tonight. Often Office acquantances go out, or just people in general who don't have young kids at home.

I drove by the Texas Roadhouse and Chilis tonight down the street from me. Both places looked pretty darn busy for a Wednesday night. Also, many families will go out because they are cooking the next day. Black Friday is usually pretty slow for dine in restaurants since everybody shops, and there is left overs from Thanksgiving to eat.

I think that's absolutely right. It's more of a catch up with old friends night as people are home, versus go out dancing and go nuts night.

I rarely ever drink these days. Couple of times a year my buddy and I go to this cabin in the middle of nowhere and have a few pops and occasionally get in to the hard stuff. This place is heaven it's in a tight valley nestled between two mountains. No cell service or internet there although there is electricity. The old BP drops 20 or 30 points overnight :) Other than that I have the odd beer or maybe a shot of Jack. I brought back some cheap JD the lat time I was in the States in '08 4 or 5 40's and I'm still working on them lol

I have the same thing with Vodka you do with rum sort of. I can drink vodka all night as long as I'm sitting down I won't feel a thing. If I stand up it all hits me at once. Never quite understood the chemistry of that but I've always been that way
