Yeah, I think they are Fred. Their rifle cases are WAY overpriced too!

I can pick up a decent, travel worthy rifle case for < $50, that has the same dimensions. and I can cut to fit in 5 minutes.

If it was something the audience would see, I would think otherwise -- but it's just a case for transporting... :sqconfused: :sqwink:

Rick you have mentioned precisely how over the years though not charging the most in my region and even comparing many of the higher market tips and ways to cut corners with no effect will allow a higher ROI.

Rick : Yes, there are cheaper products out there. I bought some Mossey Oak cases for about $60 a pop. Cheap crap. Tried some of those pvc models. Cheap crap.

Crap handles. Crap latches. Crap hinges. Why the heck do you think they're under a hundred. Crap.

The 2SKB-5009's have been through hell. Drops. Sub-zero to a hundred plus temp, two trailer accidents, numerous jams into walls, 350+ events, and they are as good as new and could sell them right now for almost what I paid.

All those hundred buck or less units? Town dump.

I had purchased one of those cheap cases. Thinking I could custom fit them myself. It was wasted money. Listening to Cap (as I should have to begin with) I purchased the 5009's and glad I did. It's well worth the money to protect something so valuable.

Dude, I wouldn't call Jon in pumps a hot chick but hey whatever gets your motor running.:sqeek:

If I was drinking milk, it would have come out of my nose from laughing! LOL. Don't judge until you see Jon in pumps with your own eyes. LOL.

Albany - Thanks for the kind words... but really nothing to envy. LOL.

Steve - Yes, you - Steve. I have a feeling if we had more time to hang out together in Vegas we could get in a LOT of trouble together. LOL.

Ben

Ben which color pumps did you like me best in? Do they make my bum look big LOL?

Your bum does a fine job of that all on it's own! :sqeek:

**SINGING** "Whatcha gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside that trunk" LOL!

Sorry folks... just flew back in from Vegas yesterday, back in an airport on my way to Kalamazoo now.. need to entertain myself somehow.

Ben

and thanks Ben for getting this thread back on track however a trunk that big is not necessary for the BOSE system containing four bass bins and two sticks.

Hey Cap,

Not sure what junk you got stuck with, but I've got some nice rifle cases for good prices. Picked them up at gun shows :)

Certainly not case hardened steel, but plenty tough enough for my rifles (which a couple are far more expensive than L1s, and far more delicate with the electronics installed on them).

Then again, I don't drive like you in the snow, and bounce them off walls for S&G... :sqlaugh: :sqwink:

Rick I think where the difference is that the L1's are a lot heavier than a rifle. So the cases really need to be beefier.

My wife has a plastic rifle case that she carries her sword in, but it would never hold up to my L1's,,,

Fred,
You are correct. They just changed out the foam and I believe the hinges are a bit different but overall they are the 5009's. It's cheaper just to buy the 5009's.
