Next Gen Chauvet GigBar .. The "Move"

Yes, and if I turn them both off, the heads still come back toward me a tad. If enabled, they swing right at me. So I guess that's Chauvets version of a totem mode? Anyone else have this issue? Chauvet still hasn't responded to my email. A phone call is next.

Next Gen Chauvet GigBar .. The "Move"

Does anyone know how to set the movers on this thing to "Totem Mode" so that the movers don't flash back at you? It's not on the website or within the manual. By the way, the movers are plenty bright. Unless your DJing a festival, this thing is great for weddings, corporate events, etc.

    Protecting equipment from rain

Here's a picture I made using PowerPoint that gives you an idea of how this was set up. Just imagine that there's only 8 chairs and the sky was dark and pouring  Slide1 by BryanK posted Oct 5, 2016 at 11:29 AM

    Protecting equipment from rain

No ceremony pics as I was indoors and my business partner was the one enduring the elements while relaying cue points to me via cell phone. I glanced out the window a few times though, and yes, she/they made them STAND out in the rain, lol. For context, this was a "Nightmare Before...

    Indian (the country) Music/themes

Here's a tip. Don't just ask the bride prior to the wedding regarding song choices/artists. See if she'll let you email her sisters/brothers/cousins, etc. to get more suggestions. When I did mine, everything was great, but I still didn't have exactly what they were looking for. I asked the...

    Protecting equipment from rain

Thanks for the tips gents! All great ideas here. I'd LOVE to store my crap in the road/flight cases, but I can't afford them at the moment. Still an "up & comer". I may have to steal Ricky B's stolen idea as well. That's genius, unless there's wind of course. Albatross' set up actually looks...

    Protecting equipment from rain

I got the bag part covered, but using active speakers only. I don't have the option of passives. Do they make weather-proof breathable speaker covers anywhere? If not, I believe there is a market for some!

    Protecting equipment from rain

That's what I'm going to use for load in/load out. I figure I'll just jack up my mains for the reception to get them closer to the roof in case wind-driven rain breaks through a sidewall seam. Sound be damned

    Protecting equipment from rain

Hi guys, What are some methods you use/gear you use to prevent your gear from getting wet during load in/load out? It's been pretty wet around here lately, and I have a karaoke gig tonight as well as an outdoor wedding to do tomorrow. I'm thinking of covering my speakers with contractor trash...

How to get music at a gig on the fly.?

I agree. It's a last-ditch effort. Now, as DJ's our job is to have an extensive library, however we don't have every song that was ever created. In those instances, to have the capability to grab a song on the fly, it shows the client an "above & beyond" attitude, and aides in a small way toward...

How to get music at a gig on the fly.?

Okay, as stated previously, you need to take a smartphone with a data plan with you wherever you go. just a cost of doing business. There are also signal boosters out there, and I suggest buying one of those also. You then need to go to your phones settings and "Tether" your cell's internet to...
