When will you stop buying equipment?

You want to buy lots equipment? The Easiest way is to make money using it. No money made DJing, No equipment. You make DJing then you can spend it on buying more equipment, but just call it what it is a hobby. But if you have issues maybe that should be handled first. One thing I found is people who aren’t busy spend more money than people who are. If you are working, volunteering, Exercising, staying very busy you don’t have the time to think about buying things or even shopping. I remember when I was young I was so busy I’d forget to eat( yes that was long ago). I’d stop by to see my mom finally sit down and tell her I feel tried & dizzy. Then she’d ask when was the last ate? One time I was out at LDI in Dallas and went almost 24hr without eating. I had a day off and a list of places to see/visit and didn’t have time to eat. Likely now that’s why I Have a few extra pounds, I call it stored energy in case I miss a few meals. So, if I am stranded on a deserted island with no food I should be good for about a week.
What do you use if you dare to tell? Is it high end equipment or mid grade level equipment?

No that’s what it takes to buy quality gear you don’t have issues with, instead of purchasing cheap garbage 3,4,5,6 times
You nailed it but you been doing this probably longer than me. I been doing it for 32 years.

32 years and your still buying crap. You should know better by now.
The last thing I regret I bought was a pair of dual wireless microphones. I don't know what model Samson's they were but they were pure junk. I got another pair of Samson wireless microphones. Samson Concert series 288. Much better. The other ones had 2 switches to control the mics. One inside the mic that you had to turn off so you don't drain the batteries. I never understood why they made it that way. The ones I have now are very good. Not the best but a whole lot better than the previous ones I had. That was an emergency purchase. That's what I could afford at the time and we had a job to do.

Mix,
I really don’t have any high-end stuff audio EV, JBL & Community, Denon. Since I have three different systems so high-end wasn’t remotely possible. Most of my investment the past 20 yrs was put into video, inflatable screens, headphone systems & stuff of that nature. I have seen & heard some Highend audio and it sounded phenomenal but was priced way out of line of what I could afford & what my clients could pay me to use.

I didn't mean that question for you. You're not the target I was aiming at. Guess who that question was meant for?

I have 4 of Community CSX40-S2 2x15” subs, they were a replacement for CV T-36. For full range there are four EVT-251. Four T-36s took up half the van and were a PIA to move. They turned out to be impractical for going out on the road where everything video, lighting, screens has to fit into one van. The CSX40s actually couple very well in pairs and give you tons of low end with very little power in short to mid throw range. Then you Also have the Option to use just two or one depending on the need and are very easy to move.

I am at the point were I am virtually done buying sound equipment. I do plan on adding more up lighting and trussing. More wireless up lighting. more speaker stands. Just bought another MacBook pro 15" for a backup computer.
Also going to need to update some of my mics. have a plan next year to buy 4 audix dual units and a couple of EV RE3 systems.

You do realize this was a long list of items you plan or purchasing....
even though you started off by saying you were "virtually done"?

I'm laughing because I did the same thing when I read the OP.

But, now that you mention it......"
