When backup gear really isn't suitable

You are projecting again, Bob.
Who plays the victim? You love being the victim of all of your conspiracy theories. You are the victim because no one is as smart as you to understand what’s truly going on. Remember ….Fauci was just like Joseph Mengela?..lol…that was a good one. One of your best. At least top 10😁

Get off the cross. We can use the wood.

No one is offended by your rudeness. Just calling it for what it is. It’s not hard to understand when someone is talking down to you.

It’s actually sad to see someone like that. Life is to be enjoyed. Everyone is not out to get you.
Let it go. Some people are always right and everybody else is wrong. Some people refuse to change. We can argue with Bob till the end of time. We'll be dead and he still will be right refusing to change.

Who is Bob??

Ok you wouldn't have done either one of those events and you stated why. That's fine. What you didn't need to do is put the person down who did those events and how they did them.
What I didn't do is coddle someone's approval seeking. On balance - it's not hard to see which posts are needless cat calling and what speaks to the matter of actual practice.

The most prominent point of the OP was choosing to make it easy, thereby ignoring (or being ignorant of) a most basic tenant of sound reinforcement - that the sound should be perceived to come from the same direction as the source whenever that source is a key visual part of the intended audio.

If the bride is standing in front of you - her voice should not be coming from behind you. If all he was doing was playing the processional music - then that setup would be fine, but the microphones are always the highest priority, and a lot of DJs skimp and skate on that.

What Bob did do is be rude and assumed the worst possible scenario.
He could ask why something was a certain way…he didn’t

He could suggest an alternate way in a 1000 different ways.. he didn’t

Or he could be an ass…Like he often is

He chose option 3. Like he does often.

It’s very routine for him to downplay his rudeness as someone else’s need to be coddled. That’s kind of strange.

I’m willing to bet this is why he’s not on any social media groups because they kicked him out for acting like a child often., like all the older forums did.

When there’s something he doesn’t like, he spreads BS about it, like he did about vaccines, software, and equipment, like we saw recently. Kind of like how some politicians spread rumors about immigrants eating dogs when there are no facts to back up anything.

Offering an opinion is fine. Spreading BS that can be easily fact checked is really weird
