Other than the fact that the DBX Model 1215 is a 15 band and the DBX Model 1231 is a 31 band. What other major technical differences are there between the two? What are the pros and cons aside from the price difference? Which would be your choice?

31 band is probably a 1/3octave equalizer which means that audio is equalized in 31 bands instead of 15, meaning you can more tightly tune your system to the room acoustics.

In other words, if you know what your doing you'll be able to make the most out of your system :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

And if you are just going to use it to smiley face your system there really is no difference!

When we switched from 15 to 31 band eq on our system, we couldn't believe how much better it sounded. Well...think about it...you have about twice the control!

You actually have twice the control plus one! How f-ing great is that! The only thing better would be the 12infinity+1 model.
