Demos - Windows Media Center Edition
Quick Previews Auto Music (not gig related) - Winamp
Gigs - Virtual DJ
Why i use virtual dj... low on resources, reliable most of the time, wide configuration for soundcards, vinyl portability, scratching right on the decks, and time stretching (key matching)
I use the U46DJ USB Soundcard by ESI it is pretty stable, flexible, and has plenty of inputs and outputs to satisfy me. Works with Time Coded Vinyl/CD's etc. Also features low latency ASIO drivers.... Which i have found to improve performance (apparently from my point of view)
Together this combination creates a reliable show, and it "just works". I know we are represented by several different djs in this forum... club, mobile, and CD djs (picking on Brian).
I do prefer Virtual DJ over the rock solid PCDJ Red, why? VDJ is actively being developed. Now I have met the fathers and designers of the PCDJ Red engine and the matching DAC-1 & DAC-2. They are wonderful guys, if you get a chance to meet them. I cannot rely on software that is going nowhere... much like a tape or 8-Track. It just doesn't make much sense to me. However to some, the PCDJ Red program is right up their ally.
Sorry i've pretty much made an AD for VDJ... sorries. Back to regular programmed threading.
