Just curious what you all are using and what you prefer. I see a lot of folks using 13" laptops. I'm getting older and using Rekordbox on a 17" and it's alright, but I can't imagine going much smaller. Maybe because I use 24-32" screens for work, but I wish I could get more real estate than even the 17" provides.

17 inch works well for me. Serato pro adjustable font & layout
When I went to mp3 that was my concern.

My mother is recovering from a broken leg and is in the rehab section of her senior living facility. We got her a 17" laptop to use because she is used to having a 24" (or maybe 27") monitor with her desktop. Last week I had to help her get used to a laptop. It was the first time I had ever used a 17" laptop. I was surprised at how much I disliked it. I have not used anything larger than a 14" screen in probably 8 years.

I just ordered a new 17" so we'll see how it goes. I'm getting older and my eyes aren't getting any better. I usually use 24"-32" monitors for work, so I prefer to have a lot of real estate... hopefully I don't regret it.
You shouldn't. What laptop did you get. That's what's important. It should be a name brand laptop that's not too cheap and has good specs so it will run smoothly using it to DJ with.

Dell XPS 10th Gen i7 with 32gb of ram. Overkill on the ram, but my last XPS desktop is about 8 years old and still running well. I'm guessing in 8 years, 32gb of ram will be old news. lol.

Pretty much anything off the shelf will run DJ software that being said buy the best you can for longevity

Better to have more then enough then not enough and ram speed is very important when it comes to a DJ software program so there's no buffering.
