I actually have almost all of the first system I ever owned back in '89 but most of it sits around waiting to become part of my studio when the kids move out ;)

I still use my original AT microphone similar to this one on a regular basis. It's 26 years old now and still works like out of the box

I have very little from my first rig. The funny part is that I thought of this on Saturday, since I actually move my mic gooseneck forward about 6", and realized that the base that the gooseneck screws into was actually in my first rig in 1987.

That is all I use. That and the hot guy behind the mic :sqwink::headbang:

Myself .. and I have a few pieces from various systems that will go into my studio. The oldest being Technics turntables and the newest being CDJ1000's.

When I downsized, I replaced just about everything and the things I didn't weren't that old. I would guess the oldest gear is probably only 6-7 years old at most.

I just sold my first box that I bough back in 1993 it had a mixer, pro 400 cd deck, qsc amp, I haven't used it in 3 years or better, it was kinda like my first born but time to say bye bye

Shure SM58 in use since 1980. Other than that, my setup photos from 2005 have completely different speakers, mixer, rack, laptops, etc. I have a few XLR cables from late '80s and early '90s.

Does my wife count (though "use" is probably not the PC way of saying it)?

I have an SM58 that's quite old too but I don't know exactly how old I bought it used 15+ years ago and it was old then. I'm guessing early 80's but I'm not sure they have looked the same pretty much forever. I also havs an SM 57 and a couple of others that are senior citizens. Again I bought them used bot sure on the exact age

PC? What is that ;) I was waiting for someone to say that lol

A pair of Martin Acrobats. Next oldest would be a Sennheiser ew100 mic. Of course, this past weekend I punted the Sennheiser for a GTD mic setup. The cheap guy smokes the Sennheiser on performance.
Want to sell the sennheisser? Is it a g2?

By the way, I just got in a replacement antenna (for my 4-channel unit) and also ordered a new ear-piece mic, which they've started selling. I'm thinking that thing is going to be quite valuable on outdoor gigs (wind noise) and I might start using it myself at the receptions.

I have a couple of those, they tend to pick up wind noise.

Dang it. Have you tried a windscreen? I was hoping with it being much closer to the mouth that I could bring levels down.

With and with out. Still not as bat as the lav's. But if it is real windy you will here it a little. I have found that most of the preachers like to use it because that is what they use in church.

I've thought many times of not offering the lapel/cheek mic .... going strictly hand held. I have no issues (wind, feedback, heavy breathers) and after instructions, the officiant can make sure everyone can hear everything, including the vows from both B&G.

Btw, the oldest piece of gear would be my rack-mounted tray. It's the only thing I've kept over the years from the original Peavey setup. Everything else is new.
