What would you say was the weirdest location you ever did an event at?

Was reminiscing last night and remembered doing a wedding in a Bennigans restaurant once... the couple had met there and wanted their wedding in the exact spot they first met...

a wedding planner contacted me about it... and i agreed to give it a shot.... they closed off a small section of the restaurant... about 25 guests... i set up off to the side and had to keep the music at a moderate level as the other half of the restaurant was open to the public... it went off quite well...the couple and those involved were obviously unique...and up for some fun...

I did a beach party on a island in the Mississippi River once, it’s a little odd having all of your gear on a pontoon boat then setting up on the sand

hahaha nice!!

That reminded me....i once dj'd on a Sternwheeler going down the river for a Sorority dance... boarding with the equipment was a major pain but it was an insane party

In a corner booth at Chick Fil A. Was supposed to be setup outside for the back to school bash with firetrucks, cheerleaders, dance team, bounce houses, giveaways, etc. Until the rain came. Then everything had to be moved inside. What a PAIN! Was the 3rd or 4th year we did it, only time weather has been an issue....

The back of a converted UPS truck.
For a couple of years I was a DJ for Mountain Dew. They had a promotion called the Pirate Radio Tour. They converted a UPS delivery truck into a mobile pirate radio station. I had a full DJ setup with turntables, CD players and a PA system. Our job was to show up at parks, rec centers and concerts to DJ and give away free product every day.

I got a hat. And maybe necktie.

Yeah, when I said "SOMETHING"....
it usually meant covering the naughty bits.
Then again, the rule was up to your own interpretation...
and really was not enforced.

I think the only reason they had such a rule...
was because he nightclub also served food.
Although I can't imagine the health inspectors frequented the place too often.

A floating barge in a dock at a yacht club.

And I mc'd/dj'd a fashion show/beauty contest at a Russian club/restaurant. Was on a Thursday. About 100 Russian people there, mostly older couples, and about 10 young girls(18-20) in different micro bikinis. I was hired that day as were the girls. Very strange. View was great, but the whole thing was creepy. I was really thinking it was some human trafficking thing, but I watched all the girls get paid and left. They were eager to get out of there and so was I.

Actually not too weird but definitely interesting was a wedding on Fire Island where I had to take a ferry over to our Fire Island. I actually roll the equipment on the Rock N Roller onto the ferry for a ride over to Fire Island then off the ferry, down the dock, then down half a block to the restaurant. Then the reverse when it was time to leave. At the wedding they had lobster and clams, basically all seafood. Since I don’t eat any seafood they arranged for a special meal for me which I thought was nice. I scuba dive so when I’m underwater, it’s like I don’t you, you don’t eat me. It turned out to be actually very easy event as since everything was compact and on one cart they said I can use the passenger ferry instead of the cargo ferry. The passenger ferry ran much more often than the cargo ferry so I got back to the mainland quickly.

Must have been a sight getting the firetrucks and bounce houses inside. ;)

Crappiest Gig ever was in a local bar back in 2011. It was a karaoke gig, and the clientelle was total white trash. Lots of people high, and lots of drunk ass holes. Never again at that bar!

...I have deejayed on the Cherry Blossom boat in Alexandria, VA 3 times in the far past.. ...Kind of weird. Had to DJ in a barn from a overlook level up top. The only way up there was on a ladder. That was strange. They helped me get my equipment up there, and I brought the 10 inch Altos for that one.

Nothing else weird crosses my mind.

That sounds like fun, I would DJ that

Firemen came inside also (without the truck) and they left the bounce house up. Rain passed about 30 minutes in, so they had people dry it with towels and then the kids could bounce. And THAT'S when they wanted to know why we didn't have music outside also......
