Check this out. This is a speed test from webpagetest.org and measure load times for various websites. Now keep in mind, the ryanacres site has a lot more stuff going on, but the numbers shouldn't be THAT far off. A 10 second load time is way too much, IMHO. I may be switching it over to godaddy's site builder. It's a lot cheaper on godaddy and apparently better performance to boot. Thought I'd share for discussion.

Follow up, I'm in the process of switching my Ryan Acres site from Wix to GoDaddy. I've already re-pointed the domain and waiting for it to propagate to the servers. Still kinda rolling around my approach but generally I'm axing a bunch of the extra info that I've had on the Wix site. I'm taking it from 12-15 pages down to 2 (Home and Contact). I think Taso made a good point that the website doesn't need to sell the event. It should be just enough info to initiate an in person tour. My hope also is that the much improved load time will also help with Google rankings and help stop people from clicking off the page due to slow response.

The new website is now live. Would appreciate any comments in regards. I'm changing my approach. Instead of having a multi-page, enough info to make a booking decision type of website I made it a single page, only enough info to try and secure an in person tour. The load time is hugely better on godaddy. Wix was running 9.8 secs for a full screen paint and this one is 2.5 secs. Not sure how that might affect google but I'm hopeful.

I wanted to give an update. About 3-4 weeks ago I switched to godaddy's site builder from wix. The wix site was getting roughly 80-100 visitors per month. Here's what I'm showing as of this morning:

I don't know if this is a fluke but it looks like a 4X to 5X increase in site visitors. I've also noticed in the past few days I'm seeing a big jump in inquiries and I have a tour scheduled for next Tuesday and the MOB has already indicated she's most interested in our biggest package ($13.5k). I'm just hoping and praying this is a new trend. I'm ready to make this project profitable.
 
Update: Numbers continue to rise. Keep in mind that with the wix site, I was getting roughly 80-100 site visitors per month. Here's current numbers:

Keep in mind, I switched from wix to godaddy's site builder and I'm currently looking at a 7X increase in traffic. The new site is much faster and has been streamlined to only include info with a goal of setting a tour appointment. I currently have 3 tours set this week and the new price point is $1k more. My goal is to raise the average booking from $10k to $12k-$15k. 2025 has been weak, mostly my lack of motivation and follow up. I'm working on it and this change is very welcome.
 
I recently updated my main DJ website (I run more than a dozen sites across 3 businesses).

I was doing speed tests with https://pagespeed.web.dev/ - same same.

But the BIGGEST help I got was from the $20 a month Chat GPT plan. I explained who I was, what my business was, how I look after customers and what sort of service I deliver.

I then told the ai to act like a world-leading SEO and web page speed expert consultant, and to advise me on best practice for MY site.

It then came up with minor changes to some of the layout, constantly keeping page speed and SEO in mind. The site was already "not bad" but the page speed after 2 weeks of tinkering improved dramatically.

Looks like you're getting a good result, but I highly recommend utlising ai tech to help make changes that go beyond what we already know.

I just checked out your website. You have some great pictures and great prices. I have a question. It says 50 extra people cost is $25 per person. How many people is it that's included before it gets to be $25 per person for the extra charge?

Perhaps I need to reword that. The base package includes food & cake for 50. After that number of guests, it's $25 additional per person.

Let me please give another suggestion. I only saw one video on the site. I suggest you add maybe 3 more videos of different events at your venue. Now I might be wrong because that video might have combined events into that one video.

That's how I wound up with a Girlfriend many years ago. Lot more expensive than a website ;)

I was suggesting at least one more video on the site for a variety for people to see. Variety is the spice of life.
