The live censor is very interesting, looking forward to trying it out, not sure I would rely on it 100% though.
Saw that; Live lyrics will come up now. I am still using the 2024 version of VDJ, and been lazy not wanting to update. I honestly don't like updates every single year, but I think I'll do the update this time.
Also, I am predicting VDJ 2028 update will be a complete AI DJ feature where you can literally press AI DJ select the type of event you are deejaying, and it will DJ for you. Select all the music, do the transitions/mixing, and you will be able to add your own little touches to it in real time, or change out upcoming songs in the que etc. ...It's coming. It will be so easy for everyone at that point.
The SMART MIX in Automix will be AI enhanced and fine tune the mixing. I think we are getting close to the final versions of DJ programs. I am having a tough time figuring out how they can continue to improve on these programs going into the 2030s.

It sure will save a lot of time and effort looking for CLEAN versions of favorite tracks. What would be really fun is if you could do an AI find and replace, that would allow you to replace certain words with words of your choosing, like replace F*ck with Fudge, but make it sound like the original artist’s voice. You could make some very funny songs that way.

That will be available in the future I bet. Hey there are probably AI programs that can do that now if I do some research. There has gotta be one that let's you change out the lyrics. ...I wonder if the "Donna" music app would let me do that? I created a song once with that app.
You can clean up songs but guests still know the real lyrics and will sing them. AI will never stop that. Then there are clean songs that guests ad lib to like Mony Mony. If you are playing this to a certain age group when Tommy James or Billy Idol goes "Here she comes now, say, "Mony, Mony." The crowd will yell, "Hey! Hey what? Get la*d! Get fu*ked!"
I used to clean up songs that I really wanted to play, but couldn’t find the clean versions, with an audio editor. However, it usually created a lost beat, that was always pretty obvious, and, like @sawdust123 said, the audience already knew what it SHOULD have said.

Ive made clean edits myself using VDJ's track cleaner.
I can honestly say I am enjoying the VDJ 2026 update!
Go to video, then dual screen and the lyrics can pop up in real time and put the lyrics video on a screen playing through out the night...might be a cool thing to do at events.
Also, I'm not sure if this is a feature as well or if a lot of my music I already pre set cue points on (I did this last year with a lot of songs) and it took me hours, BUT I am noticing every song is popping up with 4-5 cue points through out the song. That makes "Fast Mixing" a little easier to do when you know specific points in the song to mix in and out of before you hit play! Has anybody else noticed this happening with VDJ 2026? I will be familiarizing myself more with the updates heading into January. I think I need to set my controller up and do some practice sessions while I have off time from events!

Would've loved this kind of stuff 40 years ago, but with all the new AI powered DJs about to flood the market 2026 will be my year to exit completely from DJing. There's going to be far more work for qualified tech people and event staging around all these new AI DJs looking to distract from their self-driving controllers.
