Most of you probably aren’t old enough to remember using this kinda stuff
I’m sure they still work as good as the day they were builtRemember them well they were indestructible
No doubt in my mind..I don't miss the weightI’m sure they still work as good as the day they were built
At one point I ran a triamped system Peavey SP2a’s over Peavey RBS1 double 15 subs, Peavey M2600 for highs, Peavey CS 800 for mids and a Peavey CS 1200 on sub duty all amps and processing in one old school 3/4 marine grade plywood rack I bet that rack was 300 pounds. No doubt in my mind..I don't miss the weight
We ran all peavey that’s what was available locally in small town rural America in the early 80’s
My first columns where silvertones. Yes sears. Here it was Traynor/Yorkville and eventually Peavey. The Traynor stuff was pretty much indestructible too
First gear I used were Traynor Columns a Bogan Amp and a turntable coffin. I don't remember it being real heavy but very awkwardView attachment 55678

They where also made in the US back in the day. Never had a thought of one of those amp failing me.bought my first cs400 used and still working when I sold the amp 16 years later. Those Peavy's would not die. When I first started at the club where I had a residency had 2 of them running 2 tops and 2 subs. You could fry and egg on them, they got so hot.
