Okay....
I always thought that using LightRider with an Android tablet was free.
This video says in order to go thru the USB, you need to BUY the LR license.
I think the LightRider software is free for 30 days, then $17/yr afterwards ... DmxSoft SUSHI, the world's most attractive DMX controller - (https://www.dmxsoft.com/)

I thought I remember it being in the totally free column as well .. maybe they changed that when they introduced the LR512 (similar to the myDMX Go).

Sorry Mike....im so confused by the whole lightrider thing... seems like too many chefs and third parties in the same kitchen

In this case, ADJ is the 3rd party, and I think with the software catching on, Nicolaudie (the parent group) is cashing in.

Well, there goes THAT idea....
Might be worth $17 for the year to decide if it is on par with the $200+ you'd spend on the ADJ unit.

Guess I'll have to save some money and buy the MYDMXGO....

I assume you get a lifetime software license when you buy the $250 package?

Mike, I tried that sushi thingy. It was crap and I sent it back. This myDMX GO is the most functional, easiest to use, works right out of the box piece of DMX software that I've ever seen. This is seriously good stuff. Save your pennies.

Stop apologizing!
You inspired me to pursue something I was dragging my feet on.

BTW, Mike, go ahead and download the myDMX GO app and make sure it works on a device you already own.

Will it even work, considering I didn't buy anything?

It will run in demo mode ...

It obviously won't drive any lights (no interface) but it will let you make sure it works on your device, and it will give you the chance to check out their interface. It's really one of the most intuitive interfaces I've ever seen. The left side deals with your intelligent fixtures/movers and the right side is more on colors (uplights/washes).

i downloaded the adj software about a week before i got the receiver...by the time it came i had all my fixtures loaded in and ready and pretty much knew how to use the interface
