Spent a couple days creating some fun presets... this thing is so much fun...

Here is a brief glimpse of its ease of use...

How easy would you say the moving head patterns are? Did you spend much time trying to get them shooting in the right area?

So so easy....u choose a pattern like...lets say sweep... then the buttons in the middle of the circle are your speed...size .. fan out...or shift which puts them a little out of synch....theres a little aim button ...bottom left....click it and it brings up a grid u can aim with... theres also an option in the fixtures page to set up a master grid of the area u want them to stay in

if anyone would want me to do a little video tutorial of any specific questions just let me know... i know some of you prefer to slave/master or whatever... but this is too easy to not atleast take a look at it...

trust me... i spent several months mastering dmx programming... and now consider it all a waste of time after finding this baby... ive done around 30 presets in about 2 hours total of toying around ....basically i take the last preset i made....change colors... effects...or whatever...takes 30 seconds... then click the NEXT preset.....name it....save it....DONE... 30 SEONDS! programing an old preset on my obey 70 took 30 or 40 minutes if not more

but the great part is you dont even need presets... just click the SLOW/MED/HOT buttons in the top left corner...and it will just do random shows all night long...

I really would like someone to compare the myDMX Go to the Airstream Bridge. Both seem to do similar things .. both from ADJ .. both seem to make DMX tablet controlable.

I have a Chauvet FlareCon Air .. almost useless if you don't have Chauvet D-Fi products and really doesn't do much beyond PAR control.

one major difference is the ability to use android and kindle tablets instead of just ipad with the airstream bridge

The airstream bridge seems to be able to do the dmx handywork fairly easily... the mydmxgo takes it a step further by making that process as easy as a fisher price toy....with one screen of easy to understand icons that do pretty much any action you need.... it also can just run immediately out of the box without programming a thing.... after patching your fixtures they immediately just start doing stuff...its funny

it has built in button features that are quite cool... like a flash button which turns all your lights white and does a blinder effect.... or a strobe button that makes all the lights strobe... or my favorite is a "excitement" button for those edm build ups... it creates a crazy build up light show on the fly that rises to a crescendo until u release it....then back to whatever your show was doing before....

mydmxgo truly takes all the math....intimidation...complexity...etc out of the dmx process... and adds little touches that makes it far exceed any other platform in my opinion.... sure with chauvet show express or something similar u can create highly layered multi show presets....but u pretty much need a light tech on staff to take those and make a real show out of it live... this little baby can do it all with ease... and allow u to concentrate on your music as a single op with no light tech

Since I only use iPads, that part isn't an issue .. :)

But I would love "easy" ..

I guess I sell the Flarecon Air .. $200 and sort of worthless to me.

this looks awesome!!! I should be able to tap this into my Chauvet DFi Box as this just acts as the DMX Controller.

yes indeed! i go straight into a donner dongle from the mydmx go receiver.... easy as pie!

it really is a powerful software disquised in a fisher price my first dmx kinda interface.... the things it can do to chase my wash lights... like sparkle... knight rider... etc....are stuff i could NEVER program via dmx...id blow my brains out...lol

it also is fairly simple feature that allows u to aim a single or multiple moving heads at a certain position in the room... or even move them live to follow a bride and groom...etc

nice-- it looks like you have them set on opposite movements (where if one goes to the right, the other goes to the left). Is that a sperate option?

that i believe is from my "fan out" settings...or this particular movement option... but as was shown...it is possibly to control the lights independent of each other by overiding the preset...

in other movement options the lights move independantly of each other depending on how you set the "shift" button... which is located in the middle of the movement circle

This is a very comprehensive overview of the product to kind of help u understand the interface....or you can actually search LIGHTRIDER for lots of tutorials... the software is actually rebranded from LIGHTRIDER
