I'm curious to see any presets you have made for uplighting effects such as fades, chases, etc. Currently, I use myDMX for just uplighting scenes, as I don't have any moving heads. This would prevent me from lugging around another laptop.

no problem at all....i will make a vid of all my presets so far and just film my puck lights...

I will say that i can say without a doubt that this is the solution u need... it seems geared especially for wash/uplights

Chris .. Is there a "color organ" setting in there? I have an Aeon Raven Blackbird PFX I bought from Cap and it is my current go to for uplights. You can dial them into a static color and then flip a switch and they can be made to act like a color organ .. 4 channels going to 4 different DMX addresses so I get bass/low mid/hi mid/treble in different lights. It looks cool behind the DJ (Also has an option for the lights around the room to respond similarly, but with all colors). I run those separate from other lights, but if there is a way to tie everything together .. I'm more intrigued.

Here are some of my presets... the possibilities are endless...these are just some that i created...

Toward the second half are more "all on /mixing colors" ... the first half has more " on and off / knight rider (front of car) type patterns

theres also the option of all on one color for slow songs etc

steve....that im not sure of...sounds like an awesome effect... i know with lightbars u can definitely get a similar effect as far as rainbow coloring... however assigning them to the audio like that seems a bit out of this little units wheel house

It should be noted that i have the lights set to a standard bpm... but the unit can go "sound active" ...it also has a tap button option to manually tap in the bpm...

you can also control speed with a speed button... which can slow down the way the lights chase.

This thing looks awesome!!! Stupid me, though, picked up MyDMX3.0 in November and have been excited about using, but
sadly have not gigged with it once. Part because I've had less intensive light show needs since November, Part because I haven't
had the opportunity to program more detailed scenes and Part because of the hassle of the 2nd laptop (which would be my backup...but still).
Fortunately I got a good deal on the MyDMX3.0 and if I switch hope to be able to sell for what I have into it.

Man, this looks like the way to go for most of us doing mobile work. I appreciate you posting links to your videos.

No problem Ed...if you or anyone wants to see anything else just let me know.

I understand your anguish...i bought a pioneer standalone controller just months before the Denon Prime 4 came out at the same price...heart breaking. Lol

Just curious...
since they make you sign up for a LightRider cloud account....
(I don't have MYDMXGO)
does that mean it only works if your tablet has an internet connection?
(while you're using it at a gig?)

I don't think so, but you need it to download some fixture profiles. I think the intention is to add features as they go along (myDMX and Light Rider)

Not at all... your just making a connection to the receiver ....easy peezy... bare in mind your tablet will not be able to connect to wifi during its use with mydmx go though.... but id say anyone in their right mind would not try and multi task too much with a live show running

I wish I knew about this late last year when I invested in some moving heads and the mydmx buddy dongle. I spent weeks trying to figure it all out and another couple of weeks programming light shows. I got it working pretty well, but I really wanted to be able to control my lights via iPad. I may have to upgrade to this.

yeah...i had a bit of an investment in hardware....had an obey 70 and bought a small keyboard for midi control which never quite worked... the minute i saw this unit i knew i had to have it! I think some people whove spent a lot of time creating shows with their respective softwares are going to think that this is a step backward... but its really not...it does all the stuff they spent months programming... and its conveniently housed in a tablet... gotta love it! Fully recommend it!

actually incorrect...they are all pre loaded.... unless u need to create a new profile.... which looking at this library...im not sure what could possibly be missing

Okay, when I first got the Sushi DMX I tried to load fixtures...
and none were listed
I'm guessing because I didn't set up a cloud account?

Is there another bit of software I need to download to add fixtures?
