Handinon: I had totally forgot this pc didn't have DJM5000 drivers installed. I installed them and it works perfectly. It's been years since I set up my old pc I forgot about the drivers. You have my respect for reminding me and taking the time to help me.

JeffRomard, A big thanks to you for helping me find the auto mix icon so now I'm up and running with auto play on the player.
I tend to forget that these things need drivers and there are so many Icons in windows, sometimes there hard to find when you don't use them on a regular bassos, you tend to forget. . You were both a big help. These computers have so many options and configurations that it's just a matter of finding the ones that will make your equipment work properly. I tend to not just start pushing icons because I have crashed my pc more then you know and to remember what you did and how to undo it, if you make a mistake so I don't just apply settings when I don't know what the result will be.
The old saying goes use it or lose it really applies when there are so many options to work with.
Thanks again for setting me strait and being so much help. I have my juke box working through my usb thanks to the both of you. I owe both of you a beer or big fatty what ever your preference are. But a big thanks will have to do for now.
Now I just need a longer usb cord to reach my daily pc to run to my mixer.

You both were helpful and stuck with me. My respects to the both of you.

Glad I could help :)

Thanks so much. I hadn't thought that this pc didn't have DJM5000 soft wear installed. I installed it and BINGO we have lift off!!!
Thanks a lot for walking me through this.
Thanks again man for taking the time to actually help me.
Your welcome...and Thank You for your kind words!

It's all good,, no worries on my side, we just have differing opinions sometimes. Nothing wrong with that, Everyone is free to have there own opinion about everything. As long as one is respectful, I hold no grudges. No one can know everything and everyone has different skill sets.
Agreed.

Thats why it's important to suround yourself with people of all knowledge's and skill sets
Also agreed - but this is of no benefit when the people with that knowledge share it and the others don't hear it.

oh I hear it, don't mean it'll buy it. The thing about the net is it enlightens just as much as it deceives.

I can get vdj2020 to work but I can't find in the settings how to build a set list and have it play one song after another. It just plays one song at a time then you have to drag and drop another song in the player and hit play. I looked in the settings but can't find a way to build a set list so I can just hit play once and walk away and let it plat through that set list. I have also not tried assigning the output to come out a USB port instead of off the 1/8th audio jack off the mother board. Theres surly a setting in the menu somewhere but I havent found it yet. But to be honest I haven't had time to mess with it much.
Drag your songs or import an already saved playlist into the "sidelist" and start "automix".
You do not have to drag songs into the decks directly. You can add/remove songs while the playlist is running.

Thanks, thats the same way vdj7 works. VDJ2020 seems to work the same way. I just couldn't find the auto play icon and I had forgotten about installing the DJM drivers.

Yes I found out how to drag and drop a whole play list into the player and just hit auto play. It will even hold fade in and fade out and Q points for each song individually so I can skip any dead spots before or after a song. It will auto beat match or tempo match as well if I chose. I haven't had time to mess with it much at this point but thanks to you guys I do have it up and running and doing what I wanted it to do. The free version does not come with all the bells and whistles but as a home player the free version works fine now through a usb port now that Jeff reminded me about installing the DJM5000 drivers all is well and is going strait to my mixer, via usb and thats all I needed it to do. I can now just drop in a play list and hit play and it will run through the list just as my old vdj7 did. I just needed a simple auto player that runs through a usb port that auto plays and now I have it.
Thanks for all the help from everyone that took the time to explain what I was doing wrong.

I would like to reinstall the new player on my old pc with windows 7 but it's so out of date and not even supported anymore, I'm afraid to plug it into the internet. I don't want it to pick up any viruses because it's so out of date and not supported anymore.
I'll ask my nephew next time he is down if we can put the new players drivers on a thumb drive and transfer it to the old pc without using the net. I have a feeling it won't work but he will know. If not I guess the old pc just may become obsolete and useless.

VDJ2020 will run on Windows 7 and it's done exactly how you think. Drag the installation file from your internet machine onto a thumb drive. Plug the thumb drive into the other machine and run it from the thumb drive or drag it into any folder you like to save it and then run it.

Should I try reinstalling the DJM5000 drivers as well on the old pc and can it be done via thumb drive? Not sure if the glitch is in the player or the DJM soft wear.
The issue on the old pc that as a song is playing on one player and I drag and drop a new song in the second player it distorts the song thats playing but as soon as it loads the song in the second player it clears up and plays clean again. I'm not sure witch program is corrupted or is acting up..Other then that the old pc is still working fine. It's just as a new song is being loaded while the player is running it distorts till it finishes loading the next song. My music room is a long way from my internet pc so I would like to fix the glitch in the old one so I can run and mix in the same room rather then run and mix form a different room. I have hundreds of jam tracks that I like to sit and play guitar with and be in the same room. I love all the free jam trax on utube so I can play along with them and do the leads on my guitar.

VDJ uses a fair amount of the PC's resources. The system is likely spiking when you drop a file in to load. Turn off any other programs that may be running, especially Chrome (but you aren't online) or antivirus software. If your controller works, it's not corrupt. However, any drivers or software can be installed via USB drive. No need for internet.

Also, check and see that your hard drive isn't getting too full. Not a good idea to let it get below 3GB.

Yes it is spiking when I drop in a new song. It has a CPU meter at the top left that stays in the middle green area until I drop in a new song and it spikes into the red until the song loads then drops back down after its loaded.

That's your issue. If you can't turn off some other things while VDJ is running, you'll have to upgrade the PC or use a lighter software.

Ok thanks, I'll have my nephew look at it the next time he is over and see if he can remove or disable any programs I'm never gonna be using on that pc. Maybe that will keep it from spiking while loading music. All I ever use that pc for is the player anyway. But I'll let him chose what can be deleted or disabled. Maybe that will free up some space so It wont spike anymore. Thanks for the help.

Remember that it may be spiking simply because you need to rebuild the database .. so it's doing it song by song (analyzing BPM, cue point info, etc.). Pre-analyse the tracks and the load spike should lessen.

I don't know how to do that. But it is spiking and I'm sure there are programs that are running that I will never use on that pc again since it will never be contented to the web. I'll wait till my nephew gets here and he will know what I can get rid of that wont effect the way the pc works. If I delete the wrong thing it may just screw up the whole pc, so I'll wait for a pro to look at it. The FB forums firewall and avast probably can be disabled or removed but I'm not removing anything till I know how it will effect the pc OS. It's about time he will be paying a visit anyway so I'll have him check it out. But thanks for the ideas I just don't know enough to know what I should keep and what to get rid of. It's just going to be a vdj player pc so I'm sure there are a lot of programs that can go that might free up the UPC usage that causing it to spike..
