I looked this unit up and for that price the sound should be through the roof. I wonder how it would compare to the one JBL made which is much cheaper.

Use YouTube. Post the video on there. Once it's loaded on the right click on the numbers below the video and hit copy. Come on here and right click again. Go to paste and click the link. The video should appear..

Looks like a lot of companies are making this kind of setup. Even Harbinger (which is Guitar Center's brand) has one. I'm surprised some companies like Yamaha haven't come up with one yet.

Adrian #2:

About sharing accounts, you are wrong.

As for Harbinger, I can find no information saying that is accurate or not. Harbinger appears to be exclusively distributed by GC - but I doubt it's made by GC. Unless you can demonstrate or show information that it is indeed GC, then you can't defend your claim either.

I've been coming there for 19 years since I've been back and I got this from the people who work there.

I believe Harbinger is made for the parent of GC (sold by GC, Musicians Friend, Music 123 .. all same corporate) by either Behringer or Phonic. You can see even greater similarities if you look at the Harbinger mixers ... they seem to be mostly Behringer with a hint of Phonic (knob/jack placement, features, etc.). My guess is Phonic and Behringer steal from each other after the other "borrowed" things from other mfgs. (like Mackie, QSC, Crown).

TurboSound, a once trusted and revered brand, was purchased and incorporated into the Music Group family:
36322

Proceed at your own peril.

I too was initially attracted to and very interested, to the point of in store research and consideration, in the INSPIRE Series (specifically the iP2000) until I listened to the units and to a trusted audio pro advisor.

I was convinced by both listening and advice that the EV Evolve was substantially more bang for the buck but I was underwhelmed by all the "column array" options and opted to stay with my two multi-configurable systems; 1) JBL passives & quad Crown amp rig and & 2) muti Bose Compact system for much smaller requirements.

...if'n it ain't broke.

Good luck with your purchase decisions.

Line source speakers have been around long before Bose (hey guys, what are we going to do with all these left over Cube drivers?) got on the band wagon, and they have their place in the audio arsenal. Just remember, you should buy speakers on how they sound #1 and how they look #2, and not vice versa.

From the info available, I think it's Behringer.

Certainly not a simple "re-badging".
No. but it doesn't take much to move around a couple knobs. They have basically the same function set and probably use the same effects chips.

...

View attachment 36326...regardless all nothing but trouble.
I've owned a Phonic mixer and too many Behringers to admit ... all worked, all sounded passable .. 50% broke ... I haven't used a Phonic or Behringer mixer in 7+ years .. :)

I tried them (IP3000) on Friday and they sounded quite nice. It was a benefit for a 12 year old who has cancer, so I wasn't able to do a proper demo.

I have a corporate event on Friday and should be able to give them a nice try.

It's funny. If a company buys another company, everyone assumes that the products immediately are degraded and are terrible. That is not the case. They said the same thing when Denon was purchased and there are many other examples.

Yes, I own the IP3000's but got them as part of a trade (brand new in the box). I will try them out and if I don't like them, I will sell them for an incredible bargain.

Also, you can't compare the IP3000 with the Evolve system. Completely different. And if you use a Bose compact and are commenting on this, you have lost credibility. Sorry.

Anyone give 2 rat's ass hairs about djmm's credibility ratings?
