My but is DRAGGING (even after a 6-hour nap this evening) but it was a great weekend. The wedding we did on Saturday was off the chain great. Cold sparks killed it (again) and the crowd was full of party people. It was one of those weddings that reminds you of everything good about this business.
Today was a Pink Bride bridal show. I walked away with 12-15 very solid leads. I took a bit different approach. I hired an attractive 30-year old female. She works events with me as a day of Coordinator. Below is a pic, taken before the show started. Nothing special, but the vertical banner and the video playing caught a lot of eyes. My partner would make the first greeting and hand them a brochure. As she got them warmed up, I stepped in to make the actual pitch. I learned a big lesson today. A 60 year-old dude is not the first contact point for a 20-something bride. Hopefully, I'll be able to convert a few of these into bookings. The next show is in May and I'm planning to go ahead and book my booth this week. May also order another vertical banner.
