How long would you estimate it took for all of the snow to finally melt away? Over 60 days?
It was the first week of February and the majority was gone by the end of March anywhere it was stacked was a little longer. I have some pics I'll see if I can dig them up

This was the blizzard of 1978 that hit us here in Ohio. Most of you youngins where not around. :djsmug:
We were without electric for only a few hours. Three days later a few neighbors and I load up and and were able to get to town for supplies.
One neighbor had taken his wife to the hospital the day of to give birth to their daughter. Lucky!! The next day after the blizzard Rich headed to town to see his wife and new daughter and found out the the flat bottom of his Vega station wagon was a great sled and ended up on top a no less than 20 foot snow drift where the car stayed for three days to be dug out by an big front loader tractor.
Three days later Rich was able to visit his wife and newborn baby girl.
