I will be playing in Hoboken on this Saturday. The address is 1301 Hudson Street Hoboken NJ. It's for a Pop up. It's from 12-6PM. Vendors will be there selling things. My partner and his GF will be there selling Jewelry. There will be performers, poetry and DJ Macho Man on the ones and two's.

I got the call a couple of days ago for us to be back in Branch Brook Park again on August 27th. This is a yearly event that a man and his wife do as a memorial for their son that died from Cancer at age 12. The park is in Newark, NJ. We will be outside near the skating rink.

Got 3 emails or inquiries 1phone call so far today. No bookings yet. Friday is usually slow for me.
Do I post about each inquiry or booking with half the total fee as a retainer??

Lol I’d be posting at least once a day if you wanted to talk about inquiries…

I ran in to a guy on the street the other day that recognized me as the DJ at his buddy's wedding and asked me what I charge is that a legitimate inquiry?

only if your playing in the park where partner and his girlfriend are selling cheap costume jewelry
Why the wise Crack man! He simply could have given the guy his number to discuss things. If he calls then that may mean he's serious. If not nothing lost.

On a serious note, it's interesting that this guy remembered him from his friends wedding. That says to me Jeff did a really good job for him to remember him from that wedding. If he sucked he could have remembered him but wouldn't have asked him that question. It's not easy to forget a DJ that did a poor job.

Tell all of us what it is like Macho to not be forgotten .

Is this the $50 fallout gig from years ago? The one the additional $50 killed?

Can we please give it a rest. I gave him a price for doing the event and he didn't want to pay that price. So we kept it moving for that event. That's all end of story. Haven't we all quoted a price to a potential client and they disagreed with the price. Now sometimes there's room for possibly negotiations and sometimes not. In this case there wasn't any room for negotiations. In some cases you can look desperate for work. So sometimes it's just not worth it.
