Just got another gig to do on the 21st besides this Monday. 2 more are pending. I was told a price was given and the guy looking for us to do both events needs to come up with the money to decide what he will do.

My clients never have to come up with money, this just speaks to the type of client you attract

I've done fundraiser events but not raise funds for an event.

I forgot to mention we have a 1 year old birthday celebration to do on May 7th. The kids name is Harmony and her birthday is on May 6th on a Friday. I find these things funny because it's not about the kids. This is all about the adults.
Yeah, that IS funny.
It's almost as if a 1-year old can't book their own party.
Or pay for it.

Please explain how this is chasing gigs? My partner got a call from the guy that we do the event for in the park. He called him back to find out he would like us to do a couple events for him. My partner gave him a price quote for both events and he told him that he needs to see about getting money together to pay us. That's it. Chasing those gigs would mean us keep contacting him to see what he wants to do. At this point we just will see what he decides to do and that's it. Nothing more to report till he gets back to us.

How's about this. Yesterday I did a gig and dropped my partner off after the gig. I was on my way home and the van started having trouble. It said something was wrong with the traction control. It was barely moving. I just had it towed today and waiting to find out what the issue is now. I'm supposed to go to Passaic NJ tonight for a meeting. So I don't know if I will get the van back in time enough or I will have to figure another way to get there. Life on life's terms sucks some days. Just need to figure out how I'm going to get things done.

You probably should have had it towed when that started not go home first you may just have cost yourself a transmission

...and Mixxy has a partner....same thing right?
wasn't really trying to compare to mix in that instance... was just simply saying it isn't a on man job on my setups and that the times I was mentioning were with 2+ people setting up. With that said, despite Mix being with another person, I don't think Mix is really able to move/carry certain things on his own, so there are some limitations there. I still don't know why they use such heavy equipment. There are so many options that probably sound better and just as loud at a fraction of the weight.

I love the Yamaha DSR 115's I bought a long time ago. They sound great and no issues with them failing at anytime. I know they are not that light. I just love the highs on them and for events where a sub is not needed they kick major butt! For me it's not just about how loud a speaker can get but that the sound quality is superb and those speakers have superb sound!!!!!!!!!! They discontinued them. I want 4 pairs of the Yamaha double 15 DSR powered speakers. I'm just talking about what I want and not what I need. I certainly would make good use of them for sure.

Obviously you have zero clue about sound, double 15’s are never a very good sounding cabinet no matter what brand,
That's your opinion and it's OK. I still like what I like and a friend of mine has 2 different brands of double 15's. Both are great sounding to me. We use 4 double 15's that are passive to do an event in a park for a guy and they rock. Nobody complains about the sound.
