Trust me this venue is a very small place. He's looking to get at least 125 people in this venue. With tables and chairs that's going to be very difficult. Once again I mentioned this issue to him and he said let him worry about that.

Most of the events you are part of Mixxy are just.....so different. It's like your events are in some kind of parallel universe. Paying $40,00 to just hear a DJ play music in a small tight venue?

I can stay home and pull up any multitudes of playlists, invite friends over and save $40,00. Plus the drinks would be much cheaper.

As always sorry to be so blunt.....

That's not it sir. The show is with Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, The Intruders and Hunter Hayes. This person is providing lights, sound and the DJ for the show. It's not just a DJ for $40.

But will they show up in such a small unknown venue? Let's wait until the event has concluded. I'm guessing (or betting on) additional "drama". Sorry, but you do have a history here....:pillyes:

As far as I know they are supposed to show up. Some how he plans to make it work and as I said that's on him.

Almost an entire month has been devoted to talking about this one potential gig?
I've done 14 gigs since this thread was opened and turned down 6 others in that same time period. Also managed to travel to Chicaco, IL and Charleston, SC.

I refer y'all to the thread: "Has anyone actually retired yet?" Time to update and correct some profiles.

You are huge! Maybe someday we will be able to post things while being away from our clunky desktop computers. Like a mobile device that could do things a computer can do today. That would be cool.

The situation you're talking about is my friend who's a promoter that has DJ's who work for him and st the event he books top notch entertainment to perform. He also plays a bit at his birthday party too. He's very well known around here. He also has vacation spots setup for people to come to so they can have a good time at a party or 2 or 3 while on vacation.
