More news. Get there the stage isn't open so we can setup. He told us they won't be there till 10 and the event starts at 11. We told him we can't setup everything in an hour. He was fine with that. It's out of our control.

If you do get setup, make sure you take pictures....assuming it is allowed at this event. I think the "that is fine" means you plan to take your time and start playing later than 11.....not that you are leaving the event and not playing at all.

This should get interesting. I have my popcorn.

Someone please call AMTRAK, and NTSB and notify them of the train wreck that’s about to happen.

It's like 4 speakers and a controller. What takes you so long to set up? That should be like 25 minutes tops.
It's 2 subs, 2 tops, 2 double 15's 2 monitors for the people performing 2 controllers and wiring everything up. Plus a amp to use for the double 15's.

Yep .. other than the double 15s, I used to set that up myself for most of the band stuff I did .. usually about an hour in total. With a "partner", probably 40-45 minutes.

I bet you don't have enough balls to say it to my face rookie.

Okay keyboard COMMANDO. I’m sure that your bad hips would be quite the challenge for me. You can’t even lift all your own gear, and was barely able to walk the day of your park JAM.

I’m very AFRAID

No. Sir we're doing the event this year. He was hoping he could get them to feel sorry for him and bring in some gear for free. He cries he has no money to try to get people to feel sorry for him. They decided not to do it. So we're doing it.

I didn't have the head to read this whole thread but basically you feel the guy shafted you the last several years then he gets rid of you and finds some other fools that won't be had so you come back to save the day then complain about it?

It's a charity man either do it and do it right or don't. This whole thing is too much drama for a few hundred bones

We made our decision and that is to bring the same setup as last year. It worked very well last year. It was more than good enough for this event. No complaints and we're back again. As I said it's about setting boundaries that you won't cross. I pushed the issue about using 2 dual 15's. I knew just 2 tops wouldn't be good enough for this event. What were using for this event is just fine. It will carry very well.
Seems you have no problem charging more, but you do have a problem bringing more - specifically to a charity event

What we brought to the event was more than enough. People were highly impressed. So impressed we got a job out of it and possibly at least one more.
