When I was in HS a local sound guy would pay me to do the sound for the junior high plays. His system was those Shure columns. Six mics at the front of the stage was all we had. I forgot about that until this post. These were my first paid sound gigs.
I still have the playlist for that first gig - this must have been 1977 as i remembered I played the Village People - San Francisco
I think we charged $75.00 for a 2.5 hours dance - not bad then for a 15 year old
