After a 3 year hiatus from PC based music performance, The Denon DN-MC6000 has me back on the PC!

OMG--what a fantastic tool for DJs!

Thanks to Kat at NLFX, I'm using this latest innovation from Denon, creating some of the sickest mixes ever!

This controller/mixer exposes all of the great features of Virtual DJ, that here before were difficult to access with your mouse.

Video mixing is virtually (pardon he pun) simple!

And talk about product support? I called Martin at the Denon Support line, and he not only answered the phone within 2 rings, but solved a problem for me within 30 seconds!

My DN2500 is officially retired!

Awesome! I can't wait for mine. I have a lot of Denon stuff, 3500s, DN-X1700, HC4500, ect ect.. I've been pretty happy with most of it. I however was never impressed with customer support. Maybe they have changed things since I last called.

Anyways my MC6000 should be here next week :) Do you run just PC computers? How is the sound card quality to you?

The sound quality is incredible!
You will not believe it until you actually hear it on your system.
I operate it on a PC

My good friend John DePalma is using a MAC Pro Book and it works great!

I just placed my order for my Denon DN-MC6000 yesterday. Cleared out my all my Denon Dual CD players and Hercules RMX controller in December. I kept my orginal Denon 2000 dual player, works perfectly but I think its to old to sell. The fun thing is I just found out about the 6000 a month ago, been busy I guess and missed all the buzz.

Its good to hear positive feedback. One question are you using VDJ 7 and did the 6000 come with the latest firmware or did you have to update it?

Thanks,
Kevin

I am using VDJ 7 Pro. As for the latest firmware, I didn't even check it since it is working fine. I let sleeping dogs lay.
I understand that there were a few issues with the latest firmware update. You might want to check the Denon Forum on that.

Looks like the perfect toy for my mini rig. Does it control a USB based hard drive as well?

can an idiot run it? ya know,,, just asking? Someone who doesn't do a lot of "sick mixes"?

It does not.

I can run it. ;)

Ben. Ben, Ben after Rick had his way with Chuck, it seems he has lost part of his brain functions, so maybe set him up with some Fisher-Price stuff and then graduate him to Leapfrog yorofl:

Wattya gonna do! Don't cry! There are some of us MacHeads around - although I use Serato. What came today?

My Mc6000. It worked awesome for about 5 minutes. I hit shift CUE1 on deck one to erase a cue and everything stopped working. Must have been the Static Avenger I was playing fried it. :tritongue: I guess I get to see first hand if their support has gotten any friendlier since last time I had to call. It is sitting there all snug in the rack mocking me.

By hitting that combination of buttons, you changed the MIDI output channel.
This is one of the errors that I did, but Martin at the DENON support desk guided me right through the procedure to reset the channel.

Got my MC 6000 last week. Beautiful unit much better than my DAC-3, The great thing is it replaces a mixer, controller & soundcard. I did have to read the manual again & again to get it up & running correctly. But from then on smooth sailing. I had my 8 years old testing it to see if it would lock up. Using it this weekend for a video dance party, for the big test.
