Sorry you disagree. No I'm not. I expect that from you. I do understand Steve. I made it up that way because some people may not be comfortable with paying the full amount before the DJ shows up to do the event. There have been those who have gotten paid in full and the client never sees the DJ again if they seen them at all. Just looking to make a client feel comfortable.

But you can't have it both ways...I'm no NJ lawyer but I would suspect that document would be tossed in any court of law for several reasons.

I don't really know how much better mine would be in your area but it's been looked over by a lawyer and got approval. If you're interested and are going to use it I'll edit it for your use (Your name instead of mine) and email it to you. i would suggest even that should be looked over

lololololololol

Your entire business construct seems to cater to cancellation more than the service you provide... you are worried about the clients emotions when they inevitably cancel on you... you want that to be the easiest most convenient part of your entire process...and you want it to be cheap.

Why do you go into a booking with their ability to cancel foremost in your mind... either you have become so used to cancellations... or you subliminally dont feel you are worthy of the job at hand...

If and when i ever have a client cancel on me to go with another dj... they will make that choice at their own peril and at a cost for my time and calendar blockage. I have the utmost confidence in my company and what we can do for a client. Cancellation of services ...though an appropriate footnote in any contract...should never be featured as a "perk" to hiring a dj company.... That they are easy to kick to the curb when the dj you really want comes along

Should I take this as a no?

That is more like an event worksheet as opposed to a binding, legal document.
I'm OK with that, since the actual legal parts are probably not enforceable as written, so might as well get the details right .. :)

Not a lot in the legal department, for sure.
I''ll bet the rest of us have a good paragraph or two full of legal-ese.
