Thanks very much Steve149!!T.Mix isn't sold in the US and seems to be a low end Thomann product, but looking at the unit it looks really cheap .. similar to the USB/SD card players built into speakers found at Costco or such. I'm sure it works, but I wouldn't expect quality components in it. As a starter or bedroom unit, it's probably OK.
Thanks very much Steve149!! I was thinking of using it to stream music..
I was hoping to use it to broadcast remotely to a radio station for their stream..I have been doing voice tracking, but it was just generic links..Stream to what? And from what?

Hi Jeff..I am not sure..They heard some of the VT i did for another station, and asked if I would do some live programmes..I have been looking at some free software like Mixxx as a playout..When I VT I use a Rode NT1 A condenser, but maybe a dynamic would be the best for live, although a good dynamic is expensive and the income is very low at the moment..The Rode is a great microphone, but not mine...I was looking at the AT2020 mic...Thanks for the replies guys!...
What software does the radio station use? We do it for remote broadcasts all the time with MediaTouch this would be the same idea. We use a VPN and a remote access software to use the main on air machine and broadcast with Luci Lite and an Irig to cast audio
Thanks Steve..Normally to stream, you do that from a laptop (running some broadcast software like OBS). An external mixer is used to mix together mics and music sources and then input to the laptop which then streams. That T.Mix unit doesn't have USB output (only input) so the output to a laptop would be a analog (a cable connecting the outputs to a 3.5mm stereo plug) and then the laptop would do the conversion to digital. Most laptop audio inputs suck, so for the best sound, that should be done externally.

If he's creating content, then either it needs to be put on the internet from his location .. or delivered via a network or audio connection to the station and distributed from there. Remote control software just lets you control the remote system .. still need to get his voice and music to it.Steve I believe they want him to go live. I don't know about all software but the majors (Imediatouch and Scott Systems) would only allow him to add elements to the playlist not merge a program. He would need access to log tools for that and that's another whole ball of wax
This is the remote software we use at the station. It's free to use commercially or privately

I think the original question about the T.Mix was so he could supply music on his end.His voice can be put through with Luci and irig. He wouldn't be able to supply his own music through most radio software he would have to use the library already directed to the software that's why he would need Tight or something like it

Late reply Steve...had problems getting online..It would be stream to them, and live from there...So, are YOU trying to stream directly, or are you trying to merge your output over the internet with that of the radio station .. and then going live from there (remote setup)?
