I think that 'someday' is a long ways away.Someday it might be a WiFi replacement.
BT is fine as a replacement for IR (Infra Red control) ... simple color change or switch from static to auto or sound active. Someday it might be a WiFi replacement.
BT should be fine from your console to your lights...on a truss over you or next to your speakers. I can get a good 20 feet on my BT speaker at home, farther on my phone/car connection- 40 feet thru a wall (which sucks BTW, to be on the phone in the house and someone starts the car or comes home and your call goes to the car...)
It won't work on uplights across the room, but if you set them and can forget them...might be easier to set them up than manually choosing a color - and it's cheap.
BTW - my dmx go device is due here TODAY (tuesday) now...and amazon has had 3 days and some and still shipped nothing.
Problem is most non-pro BT isn't fast enough for the things that the myDMX Go is doing. Again .. fine for simple, occasional changes, but not for a coordinated light show .. at least not yet.BT should be fine from your console to your lights...on a truss over you or next to your speakers. ADJ Support just now responded that there is a problem with the App and it should be resolved shortly. The request for assistance went in Saturday. 3 days for initial response. 2 if you don't count Sunday.
What tablet are you using? It's an App update - not a firmware update. I wonder though, is your firmware 0.6 or lower?curious if this effects us all? or just a few? i had zero issues....will i need to now do the firmware update?

Is there even such a thing as "pro Bluetooth"? Everything I've read on it focused on casual consumer use.Problem is most non-pro BT isn't fast enough for the things that the myDMX Go is doing. Again .. fine for simple, occasional changes, but not for a coordinated light show .. at least not yet.
You have to connect it to a machine and run the hardware manager.ive got an old samsung tab 4
not sure bout the .6? how can i tell? im a dum dum

You might be able to connect to an existing network (through wifi) - the options are there through the hardware manager. I did not try it, but I did see it.Is there even such a thing as "pro Bluetooth"? Everything I've read on it focused on casual consumer use.
What ADJ needs to do is put an ethernet interface on their MyDMX GO interface, so we can network it with a high-power wifi router that can provide internet access. It's myopic how they've built it as a isolated little island.
Maybe, if ADJ sees fit to provide user documention for their Hardware Manager. From what I can see, you'd need to connect the MyDMX GO interface to a USB port on a Windows or Mac computer, and use Hardware Manager to route it to another network or wifi router. But that would require a computer, rather than directly connecting the MyDMX GO interface to a wifi router via ethernet ports. You might be able to connect to an existing network (through wifi) - the options are there through the hardware manager. The specs are there .. not sure if anyone has produced product to those yet.Is there even such a thing as "pro Bluetooth"? Everything I've read on it focused on casual consumer use.

If you use the hardware manager, there are settings available that don't appear implemented (like actual WiFi router capability).Maybe, if ADJ sees fit to provide user documention for their Hardware Manager.
