You won't get many standard sub poles to go high as the weight of the sub will dictate the stability and the mfg can't control that. The K&M I listed go about 4.5' above the sub .. about 6' to the bottom of the speakers on my Yamahas.Whats the best one to purchase for the best height? i like my speakers up as high as possible.

Stands are one area I would caution doing DIY .. it may impact the enforceability of your liability insurance if one should collapse or fall.I made my own "sub poles" and light t bars
I went to my local metal supply shop and had them cut me 2 pipes at 42" (1.5 inch pipe).
I then went to the hardware store and got a can of primer and a can of matt black paint
I think I was $30 total for the 2 pipes.
Same thing for my light bars, I had an extra pair of speaker stands, I replaced the second pipe with a longer one and put a 28 inch cross bar on the top.
I had to buy 2 T fittings on amazon, but I think it was still under $40
LOL, yes I am a DIY kind of guy

Yea, if you have an M20 receptacle, it will lock up that end of the pole better.
