I would have loved to see the speakers you were using at the time. I bet for that time they kicked butt.

They are beast because my first pair of speakers were Peavey Sp2-g. Great speakers. I eventually got rid of them for speakers that could make up for us not having subs at the time.

Peavey sp2’s bro. Had a pair with a cs1800,,,,,,,, that crappy amp was done an hour into the show! Had a big box fan blowing on that bar-b-q grill/amp.

Thanks for sharing. I wish I had some pics of my early days.

What amp did you replace it with?

Thankfully, I don’t think there’s any photographic evidence of my first set up.

I think they were knock off pyle pro’s

Well, I stopped laying music for a while. About 5 years ago I was doing an audio install for a friend of mine who had turned a bar called the crooked nickel into a health food store. All of the audio equipment left over from the install was Qsc and Yamaha, somhe traded labor for it.

So that’s how I started with Qsc, but The peavey equipment is still at my brothers shop.

Have a good friend that used to work with me at Savard speaker company, now works for peavey.

What's funny is some stuff says pro on the box and nothing that a true professional would use. Pyle, Gemini, Gem, Technical Pro and so on. Have any of you ever owned such brands and if you did, how long did it take for you to get rid of that stuff and get something better?

You first - all this cheap stuff that you recently bought - how long did it take you to get rid of it and get something better?

Even funnier .. some DJs use the same term for themselves ...

From Jersey?
Did y’all have those truckload sales for car audio and other junk, also tools! They used to,set up at the elks lodge and parking lots! Ha Now all that junk is at harbor freight! 😂

They used to say (in a radio voice). Speakers 10 bucks,,,,,,,computers 50 bucks,,,,,,,cordless drills 20 bucks! Like a buying frenzy was about to happen!

Just a bunch of jackasses buying cheap Taiwan junk. Back when amps were called boosters! I bought one 😒 and some Jensen triax 2’s. I did have an Alpine head unit.
