If you like light jazz or combo instrumentals, take a listen to Begee Adair Trio; Frank Sinatra covers, Elvis covers, Beatles covers, etc.

Coctail Hour List

Can you assist a fellow old DJ just getting back into the buiz after 20 years. Have a Coctail List you would like to share? Thank you in advance.

Kenny B

During Cocktail I often play more instrumentals as the crowd buzzz builds (chit chatting guests) and then during dinner more of the vocal presentations as the guests arent talking as much. Just my thoughts, and your mileage may vary.

Sheriff I need to say one thing. You plan to get back in the biz basically as an IPOD DJ? It seems you want a playlist so you can just let it run. I am not a freaking IPOD. My shows change from one week to the next nothng pre-rehearsed.I fulfill each clients needs separately. Its all grand you getting back into this recently after many yrs but honestly if you arent creative I dont wish to help you in the endeavors of providing a list to appease your need or lack of creativity. Im sorry if this sounds crass. I have proudly provided exemplary performances for 35+ yrs and unless I gain funds for me tailoring your want to be in the game efforts. I'm not playing. Sorry. Oh and one more thing if you insist on not doing any homework to get caught up, there are hard drives of music on Ebay that might assist for nearly nothing and little effort. GOOD LUCK!!

Playing

I do not use an Ipod to DJ. I use a computer and Virtual DJ. I am not asking for your actual music. Just sheets of music that one might play at a part so I can look them up and download them into the computer so I can get aclimated with it. Very harsh my friend.

my apologies but perhaps the grouchy old guy who has worked his tail off to keep up with the musicwas a bit overzalous in his reply. There alot of playlists in the gig logs and music forum. Also gain the billboard top 100 monthly, along with the yearly top 100 form those years you went Rip Van Winkle from the industry , check all your local radio playlists and they will likely have a top hits list each week. Also the Mobile Beat top 100 is likey one of the best resources for you. Hope this helps.
