Today google announced they will probably start basing their results by site load times. Over the summer by chance I had my web designers do a big overhaul on my site to load faster and more efficiently to create a better user experience when comparing it to other sites I compete with. It seems like google will now be taking that into account as well.

Google will consider load times in mobile search rankings

I'm building a new one now and that is part of the focus. Mobile is also my primary format focus.

What do you use for hosting? Both of mine suck rocks (zenfolio and squarespace)
I have been using WIX for about 3 years now.

By the way, your "Live Pics Slideshow" sounds really unique................ ;)
Thanks. It is modeled on your Live Pics enhancement. It has really picked up for me.. corporate clients love it!

How are you doing the live slide show? Are you manually popping them into a powerpoint or is there software you use?

I use godaddy for hosting and i have a wordpress site... or did u mean live pics on screens? My photographer takes pics and uploads them into iphoto which has a really good slideshow feature.

I'm in the process of setting up a new wordpress site. I've been fighting speed issues for a few years so I'm going to re-try wordpress again and see what it comes up with. I've also chosen a new site name; www.CatchMePretty.com. It beats "Ryan Photography, DJ & Lighting".

I'm not sure I'm on the CatchMePretty bandwagon .. personally, I'd Prefer Ryan ..

Cache everything you can and use a CDN. JetPack is built by Automatic. inexpensive, and has a bunch of extras but only caches media. CloudFlare is very good. The free plan has been serving ODJT well.

Using the Google Insights tool (PageSpeed Insights)
