cringed every time i got a request for it... i hate to even honor him with the "one"

I played it a bit last decade .. not sure I have in the past 10 years.

lol...he seemed really old back when the song was a hit...

I worked in radio in the 1990s. Out of all of the artists/celebrities I've met in my lifetime, Scatman John was by far the nicest, most humble and most genuine. The guy's success was unexpected and happened almost overnight... to be on a stage in front of thousands with a worldwide hit was mind-blowing to him. I was saddened to learn of his passing.

Will lightning strike twice for Lou?
Will his name once again find itself at the top of the charts?
Will he make enough money to get himself out of bankruptcy...
or will he have to sell his Jaguar?
Find out....in a future episode!

"Tricky Tricky" was a decent enough attempt, but when your first song is #1 all over the world like Mambo No.5 was, there's no way you can outdo yourself.

There's a track on Lou's "A Little Bit Of..." CD called "Ice Cream" that I still like to play at pool parties and events with a tropical vibe. It's a fun one.

Actually, IMHO, that whole album is pretty good. Sounds a little repetitious but still good.
