Believe it or not, it helps them reach their stated 'mpg'. If you don't have a spare, you either have the room for one and can add it yourself - or you have some type of 'fix a flat', for vehicles where there is no room for one.this may just be a usa thing, given the fuel regulations... but for the last few years a lot of new cars don't come with spares... in fact it's about 1/3 of cars...instead it's an added on option like rubber floor mats. Of course very few cars are optioned without the spare... but it's not a given you'll have one anymore.

The OP said they turned down 5 local DJs for this event and he couldn't help them out because he was booked. He also mentioned they turned down his price quote. I suspect that all those DJs turned down doing the prom because of the price they wanted to pay the DJ to do the prom.
