We have a large service area. I have been entertaining trying to get help specifically for all the major markets we service - such as having someone in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus etc. (I'm centrally located between them all). Basically, from a logistical standpoint it would be nice to have a "partner" of some sort in each area who may be able to help with Djing events, setup, teardown etc. without having to have my staff drive 1-2 hours from Akron, Canton or Cleveland. Additionally, I am at a point where I am having to turn away events in October and May. Ideally, I'd like to partner with a few loyal single ops, however, I would be fine with picking up an assistant or two as well. Although I am friends with a few other Dj companies in the area, I have found they are pretty stingy with lending out their guys - even when they do not have enough work for them.

I know there's probably no attorney's on here, but long story short I am thinking about adding a job app form to my website. I'd like to make sure everything is legal, ethical and will help me adequately vet candidates before I spend time meeting with them, and possibly onboarding them and training them. I'll have the application attorney reviewed later (I have appointments with attorneys on the books but they are primarily because the company/builder that built my new house is threatening me with a defamation lawsuit as well as some other contract violation lawsuit since I am complaining they won't fix their shoddy work). I'd like to have something fairly clean I can bring to these meetings so it doesn't take up much more of the attorney's time at $300 per hour.

As far as the application, I am thinking something along the lines of (this is a very, very rough draft):

Good Luck. I don't even bother with trying to bring on new people any more.

I would rather just sub contract out to other professionals that I know if I get that busy. Haven't been busy enough to do that this year. Just book myself, my bro, and my sister. I have another DJ who I throw 1-2 gigs a year at, but he is pretty much at the end of his Mobile DJ career. He has been in a state where he has been doing like 2-3 gigs a year for the past 4 years, and he doesn't really want to do gigs any longer as he doesn't need to.
