I was all gung ho about LightRider and MyDMXGo not so long ago.
I had just bought a pair of Lixada mini beam movers, and wanted to use my tablet to control them.
But my tablet never recognized my Sushi...so I thought about getting MyDMXGo, but didn't have the money.
Sine then I have seen a lot of people having issues with it, in one form or another...
(on ODJT and on a Facebook page) so, for once....I am glad I waited.
I'll consider it again when some of the bugs are worked out.
But I have a gig this weekend, so I set up my lights in the garage, including the new movers...
and went back to the Chauvet Obey 40 to get it ready.
I made two new brackets to hold my Chauvet ColorBAND T3 USB.
After I re-arranged the lights, I made a couple of scenes. (thanks to ITTigger).
That's when I realized I still had the movers in their cardboard boxes.
So I bought a big tool case at Home Depot ($40) and made partitions to hold the fixtures snugly.
I had a lot of extra room, so this case will also hold my cables and IEC cords.
(I also ordered a few new short ones to make less of a mess)

Here are some pics.
I will make a video at my gig this Saturday and add it later!

MY DMX GO has been flawless for me...transformed my entire process with lighting... i can make elaborate scenes catered directly to the venue...and the brides wishes 5 minutes before the first guest arrives without any anxiety.... i can do anything i want on the fly....or bask in the presets.... i was a slave to an obey 70 for a year or so and do not miss it at all.... although id never recommend this unit to anyone with a bunch of effects lights... its purely for moving heads and wash/uplights....and that's one thing i wish that ADJ would own up to and tell their customers....their lack of candor on that element of the system has bitten them in the butt tho.... because the majority of the "issues" tarnishing their name and this product are the people trying desperately to get it to work with their 78 dollar mini kintas...or whatever else.

The rest of the issues are wifi interference issues... and i do hope they fix whatevers causing it....but i run the donner and wireless mics all out of the same 2 square foot area...and have zero issues

I also haven't had an issue since the first week when I finally changed the WiFi channel and updated the firmware.

I also normally run 2 separate wireless DMX transmitters (one for washes and 1 for uplights), since controlling different things is still a challenge with the myDMX Go.

Since I already have the Obey 40, and I know it will do what I want it to do...
I can be patient and deal with it until they get over their growing pains and address some of the quirks.
Besides, I didn't have enough gigs this year to warrant buying MyDMXGo.

But I really am dying to use one...

I went back to Freestyler with an Enttec interface box. Didn't have time to figure out how to program the movers so I'm just running uplights. It's rock solid, no troubles. I didn't have time to figure out how to program mover programs so I'll be back on sound active for tonight (and likely Saturday). I'll be investing some time in it next week. I'm frankly tired of the hassles with myDMX Go.

I'm about convinced I got one of the bad units. One of the ADJ guys gave me a support number and said they'll replace it. Just haven't had time yet. If I can get scenes setup on freestyler, screw it.
