I know you bellieve that.

It's a matter of personal responsibility. The system works fine for many sometimes better. I do agree it's not for everyone but it seems the majority do fine

The last stint at home I worked 6-10 on air did production for 1-1.5 hours and hosted a request show from 12-1. I took a 15 minute break to make coffee at 9 while the music grouping was playing and 20 at 11:30 or so for lunch. No one wanted to borrow the studio for a few minutes or came in to chat I definitely got more done at home. You setup a system and do what needs to be done there is no reason it can't work.

..and that's sooooo condusive to the necessary, important and tactile interpersonal realtionships that make us unique in the animal kingdom.

Devolve as you deem necessary.

My daughter works in the office for a trucking company.
She's been working from home for about a year.
(not ONE trip to the office)

It works fine for her AND for the company...
because when she was at the office, she was basically sitting in front of a computer monitor.
So the only thing that has changed for her is when she needs to talk to a co-worker (or co-workers),
she uses an online chat program.

Actually the animal kingdom has very interpersonal relationships for the most part. So do insects, birds and fish. Humans aren't even in the top 5 in that area. If office interaction is your most important relationship working from home is the least of your problems
