My friend is doing a big party again and it's an annual event. I spent $10 on some raffles and won almost $500. Only my second time winning one. The other time I was Djing an event and won. On Monday I'm going to KPODJ. Don't worry I plan on leaving there with plenty of money left over. If I didn't win it's a great party as usual with my friend Jay Jay the DJ doing it. It's his first time using the new QSC kS 118 subs. They put the KW subs to shame! They kick major ass. He has a pair of Mackie subs he's selling. He bought these to replace the Mackies and they are awesome.

1) Congrats on winning some money.

2) If you didn't need it to run your business yesterday... you don't need it Monday. Put that money in a savings account for your next emergency.

Congrats on winning the raffle Macho. Ever think about putting it in the bank for a rainy day? You seem to have money problems like every couple of weeks.

Not a good idea to piss away every dollar you put your hands on.

Change of plans. I forgot something. I need to get something on the van fixed so it can pass inspection. So instead I will be calling my mechanic on Monday instead to see when he can get it done.

I put money away to get the van fixed so it can pass inspection. I will call on Monday so I can find out when the work can get done.

What needs to be repaired so that van passes inspection? Did you get a couple different(free) estimates to make sure the person your having perform the work is not screwing you?

It’s really sad that you win almost $500 and the first thing your thinking about is buying more unnecessary gear. Why buy new gear when most of your gigs are free. I don’t see many people complaining about a dj’s light show, when he/she is playing a gig for free.

You know what free gigs get you? More FREE gigs, or free gig clients.

People talk amongst each other, and you know what the locals say about you? Macho has set his value at $0. Call him up and give him a sad story, and he will most likely do the gig for free.

Step playing yourself, my dude.

Put money away typically means that you're saving it for like.... some meaningful period of time. Maybe earning some interest, who knows? In this case, it sounds like you put it in a drawer for a night or two so you can spend it this week.

But if you lend me $30, I can give you the $20 from Scott ... and you can give adj2ent the $10. ;)
You can always borrow against my future royalties

You're looking to be funny and that's OK. What happened at that event I invited a lady I was talking to to the event. Me asking her to attend the event and looking for the person to pay for someone she didn't plan to have to pay for would have been tacky and wrong. She already had her list of people she invited to the event and was paying for all those people to attend with her money. Understand now?

Is that what is forum has come to for one member?

Mix, if your van needs fixed, why not just use money in your savings account? Do you have to seriously rely on un-planned money for serious van repairs?
