Just purchased my full version of "Rockit 2000" and installed on my music laptop.

I have tried almost every demo out there and I came right back to this one (it was the first one that I tried).

We do mostly weddings, so this is perfect for my needs. :)

Thanks Rick for the great DJ software and a special Thanks for supporting ODJT!

And just about the time you learn it, the new version will be ready, eh Rick? :sqwink:

And then we'll just move to the new version!

I didn't want to wait, so I decided to go ahead and get the current version tonight. I'm impatient that way.... :)

I "think" you get the free update... I know I do...

Even if we didn't, I think it's worth every penny!

Plus, I think Rick is one pretty cool dude!

Welcome aboard Kirby :)

Papa, your free upgrade will be special -- Gonna send you that copy of Numark Cue LE that came with my controller :sqerr: :sqlaugh:

FYI: Shooting for a release date of around late Sept., early Oct, although that could go a bit either way. Lot's of testing necessary, since this is a completely new build of the program, and I don't like to release buggy stuff, then have to fix it later :)

Lots of neat new stuff to make your lives easier...

Actually, two things I don't do when on my prescribed 'medication' -- code and drive.

I have been known to draw skins and buttons in that state of mind though :sqlaugh:

Check out this one I did a couple years ago, and you'll see my point:

Rockit32Skin-GreenMetal.jpg

What's really scary, is that is the most downloaded skin for V3.2 :sqerr:

So please excuse my ignorance on this one, but what is the difference between Rockit 2000 and Cue? I have a total control coming and was going to give Cue a look.

Sliders that actually look like sliders? Woo Hoo! :sqerr::sqlaugh:

The big difference, is that Cue is made for Numark by those evil french people -- whilst Rockit is made here in the good ol' US of A by me (the crazy hermit who answers his phone) :sqlaugh: ;)

I love to bash those guys -- and they seem to reciprocate :)

FYI: The new version of Rockit has full support for any MIDI controller, including the Total Control (since I have one in front of my cute face). I'll be releasing it with controller mappers for a number of different ones, and will add mappers as new controllers become available.

So which one do you like better:sqwink: Just kidding. I get the LE version of cue with the controller, but to be honest I'm not that happy with VDJ right now. It will freeze on me once a gig, could be my lappy but eager to try others.

Ballpark cost for Rockit?

$220, $221.... whatever it takes!
:sqwink:

I have the current version. I think it was $99.... I'll say this... for the most part I like it more than the much more ( now ) expensive VDJ... I paid $149 for that, and what is it now, $299? :sqeek:

About the same as a case of BallPark franks (right now $99.95) :)

Price won't go up all that much, just enough to recoup costs for buying all this hardware to test it on -- you'd think the manufacturers would send me some test units that I could send back, but Noooooooooo :sqerr:

Cue LE is a crippled version of VDJ. I'd give you my copy, but I promised it to Papa via his free upgrade :sqlaugh: :sqwink:
