Nova Scotia is falling out of the game. We just cut back bars today to 9PM last call closed by 10 I expect the gathering limit will be going down again

From what I understand. D.C. and Virginia are still at events with only up to 10 guests. in D.C. no dancing is allowed to occur still. Also bars still must close at 10 p.m. so I am really wondering if my May wedding is going to be cancelled or post poned again.

Virginia's current executive order is through the end of February, so I am not sure if it will be lifted or extended in the next few days.

Baltimore City, NO events allowed at the moment and capacity is at 25% with a 1 hour time limit in bars and restaurants. BUT, if you hop over to the County, no time limit, capacity is 50% and events are allowed to happen as long as no more than 50% capacity, and bars can stay open until normal time.

Depending on the area, people are still pretty hardcore with the masks, face shields and social distancing here in Maryland. In the conservative areas people are more relaxed with it when outside.

I was delivering for Amazon down in Columbia today, and saw a lady walking down the side walk wearing mask, face shield, and gloves...walking by herself...nobody else around.

With that said...My sister in law's Nephew who is maybe 30 or 31 years old was just rushed to the hospital tonight. He has had Covid for the last week, and he was complaining that he couldn't breathe tonight. Others in that house hold all have Covid. HIs Mom, Mom's BF, and younger brother, but he is in the worst condition. The Zip Code I live in has like the 3rd highest total amount of Covid Cases among all zip codes in Maryland right now.

The reason for my comment and the bluntness of it is simply regardless of the area... the majority of people attending these weddings will be the people that don’t care too much for the virus or had it. People that are still afraid just aren’t coming to the event, or they leave right after dinner if anything. That’s why even when I did an event in falls church, VA in the fall, not a mask was in sight once the reception kicked off. Some attended just for the ceremony and during that portion, almost all had masks on. Once they entered the reception... a different reality.

In pre COVID times, the expectation was that 15-20% of people would RSVP no. Now that number is closer to 30-40%. People inviting 200 are ending up with 125 guest counts... however their almost all under the age of 50 with exception of immediate family

If it’s anything like every other state I’ve worked in so far... no ones gonna follow any of these rules once the party starts lol.
GOOD!

Following ignoRant, meaningless and tyrannical rules is as unhealthy as any pandemic.

Just like not following some common-sense rules can make you unhealthy in a pandemic. I agree some things were over-blown .. that doesn't mean all things were.

"Common" sense in this very country and not so very long ago was inhumane, unjust and unholy...but you choose for you.

...and it doesn't validate/justify any of them.
