This is a little bit funny and taught me how not to panic. I was looking for some batteries in one of the rolling bags I have and came across the 2 portable 2 TB Toshiba HD's I thought I lost. I was looking for the batteries because we have a job to do this Saturday. I got 2 more HD's because I thought I lost the other 2. Well here's the other whammy. My old GF brought me one while we were in Micro Center because she didn't do anything for my birthday. I got to tell my friend and partner this so they can have a good laugh.

Let's see...
Got 2 cause you thought you lost 2
Got 1 from old GF
Found 2 you thought you lost

My count is 5, giving you 4 back up

Here's my lesson on how not to panic:

1)Put your crap away so you know where it is.

2) Keep 1 back up with you in a gig bag and 1 back up in a safe place at home. DON'T ever put them in a bag you might store away.

She bought me a brand new HD when we were at Micro Center.

What job Sat. Mixy?

One we've done before. My BF's brother wants me to come to where he lives again to do their cookout. I just got out of the hospital yesterday. My feet are swollen. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do the event. I will be there. Yesterday I got my appointments for the bone scan and cat scan on the same day.

I'm at the mechanic shop to get the side door lock put on and 2 heavey duty locks put on the side and back doors. This event this Saturday is needed to keep my spirits up because of all that has happened lately.

You don't need to talk to anyone like that .. so either take a voluntary vaca - or I'll give you one.

Because you don't seem to understand:

Seriously. what part was was in violation of any rules?
Seriously you don't know!? You talking about my mother in that way was very disrespectful. It has taken years of me buying gear with my own money or money I bought from the jobs we did. I know we're never going to be buddies on here and that's ok. Just watch what you say on here to any member on here.

This is me and my partners business. Now over the years we've gotten help from others in this business. Some very good friends I met in this business. What I try to do and I'm not 100% perfect on here is show others respect on here. No matter how much they piss me off. We all can't and shouldn't agree on everything. If we did that would be a boring world.

COMPLETE & UTTER NONSENSE...and a perfect example of the dangerous, insidious and ignorant nature of presumption, cancel culture and reactionary wokeness...because many don't WANT to understand.

I never referenced you, your mother nor any individual and it wasn't presented as a quote, nor was it intended to be. I was using a little thing called self-effacing humor to highlight the amature "professional" practices of others.

The misinterpretation has no bearing on reality.

EDIT: If necessary, I would apologize to the humorless that found offense in the ignorable post.

I have said it many times, a cloned backup laptop is the only safe option. I charge too much not to be able to perform the exact same way if my laptop crashed, broke, etc.

I am so paranoid about losing music in general. I have all my files backed up to an external HD and also backup remotely to a different country via LiveDrive.

I think it's important not to have it all in one place. What if there is a fire, flood, burglary etc.
