At the moment since I am not booked, and at this point becoming very unlikely I will be booked: My plan is to take my wife and son out to dinner. Then later in the evening, my son gets to stay up as late as he wants, and we are going to have a "Disco Party" in our basement. I will set up my lights...He will set up his lights in his room, and I will let him DJ the party.

I just realized that I worked the last 3 New Years Eves, so i guess it's naturally time for me to have a NYE off.

I still want to book it if anything comes in though, but if nothing comes in, I'm making the best of it! :)

I just realized I worked the last 34...Time to do another one ;)

I'll be playing a private house party in a very large man cave/garage. I did the same one last year lots of dancing great food and fireworks at midnight and over by 1AM

Nada. The last two years, crowds were over expecting and I was under delivering to those expectations, soooo, we shall celebrate at home with family (and pets).

I like that Cap! I do enough events during the year that I can take Christmas & New Years off and spend time with family.

Playing a private party with a band. This will be the 4th year we did this gig. Looks like it will be a 3 piece this year. Guitar (me), drummer, and the keyboardist plays bass on the keys.

My plan is the same...just with wifey. I wonder how late good restaurants stay open on NY Eve.

I worked in a restaurant on NYE 3 years ago. An ipscale white table cloth Italian Place down in Rockville, MD. Smaller restaurant in a small strip shopping center. They were open until 1 am that night, and we had about 60 to 70 customers for the night. About 2/3s of them stayed and partied past mid night.

As for us, no way the wife will stay out late hanging out at a restaurant. We will probably go out around 6 pm for dinner, and knowing what she wants, it will likely be Carabbas. We will be home by 9 I bet.

My Wife actually gets very mad at me if I am out oh say doing a 5:30 podcast, and it's past 6:15 or so and I'm not back home. She routinely eats Dinner by 6:45 at the very latest. If we aren't eating by 6:45 it's all my fault and it's the biggest inconvenience (to her!)

When we go out we usually don’t eat until after 8 as most of the kids are gone from the restaraunts by that point at home we by 7 so the kids can have some free time before bed

Tell her to eat without you. That's what I tell my wife, when I get home I get home
