For typical 100 person wedding scenario, small lightweight price is no concern, I know the rules

You have to consider room size in addition to the crowd size. The distance you have to project the sound determines how much the volume falls off before it reaches the listener. Many venues have fixed sized rooms and they just spread the tables out to make it look fuller for the smaller crowds. In other words, the distance you need to project the sound is no different than with the larger crowd. Of course, you will be competing with less background noise with a smaller crowd.

I've done a couple of 50 person events with just two 8" speakers and it was plenty loud. However, the rooms were small with low ceilings and reflective surfaces. These were for older crowds that didn't need chest thumping bass.

Smaller events tend to be more price sensitive as well. I would want to minimize my setup time for such events. Therefore, system size (including bags and cases) would factor significantly in my choice. These days you could even consider battery powered solutions for that sized crowd. The convenience of not running power cables could improve setup/teardown times. Just note that some battery sized solutions, will operate at lower power levels off the battery versus when plugged in.

Harbinger MLS1000 and you hit all 3! This also depends on your definition of Affordable. If you think that BOSE is affordable for YOU, then just spend the money on BOSE PRO 16.

That is if you want line array. For the money/Value/portability/sound quality, I will bat for the MLS1000 system. Also comes with carry case and sub cover.

For 2 way loud speakers, Yamaha DBR 12. Going to rank very high every aspect leading to the best bang for your buck.

For Subs, the New Yamaha DXS12mkII or Yamaha DXS15mkII series look cool and I bet they sound fantastic. They are a bit on the heavy side though.

Like I said I want quality and lightweight, I don’t care if they cost $10,000
Why limit the cost to $10,000? You said price is not important. Why not $20,000? Just having fun with you. What do you have now that will be what's needed to do that kind of event that is light weight? How light do you want the system to be?

With the exception of Line Array, anything over $1,000 MAP price per speaker is generally NOT going to be light weight. I mean lighter than speakers were 30 years ago, YES, but compared to what is available and light weight by today's typical weight specs, the higher end model lines are going to weigh 1.4X or more of what the light weight speakers and subs are today.

Want Premium? Look at the RCA ART 945s made in Italy. $1,999 per speaker. The throw on those are ridiculous. A pair can do football fields no problem. Then again, if you ask me, they are overkill for events with 100 guests by a long shot! 350+ guest events in big ballrooms or festivals in a field are what these speakers are made for!

Yamaha DZR is another one.

When you are talking 100 guest events, I don't believe that anything higher end model or "premium" is needed or required in order to provide a real nice sound quality/experience.

Evolve 50 in white.

I have a pair of these and they would be great for 100+ even without a sub(s).

No price limit you say? This is at the top of what I’ve seen & heard personally, which I could afford if I had a use for them.

I believe in speaker systems which are array-able & expandable. The full range could also be without subs for very small events. Likely with bags you are still under 20K for larger system. These also should be available for rent should you need a much larger system for a night.

JBL
2x VRX932LAP 12” Full Range & 1x VRX918SP 18” Sub per side

On a smaller side & passive JBL
2x VRX928LA. 8” & 1x VRX915S 15” sub per side.

Since price sensitivity is not an issue. I would recommend a completely different approach for consideration. How about multiple battery powered speakers like the EON ONE Compact. Add a bunch of low latency transmitter/receivers and just use as many speakers as the space requires. You can often get better and more even coverage with multiple small speakers than with two main ones. By eliminating all the wires, you end up with a clean look and faster setup and teardown times. The big caveat is that low latency audio link.

You will need a link to each speaker. Some of these transmitters have limited channel capacity. You will want spare channels too in case of interference. Most of these transmitters operate on the 2.4 GHz ISM band. The same band used by WiFi and some digital mics. Of course, you can always use cables in a pinch.

I don’t think you’re gonna find a system smaller and as powerful as what mentioned. Take a look at what’s online. The only thing is there is a sub… a very small lightweight one

Taso hit it on the head I'm not sure you would find a small system that would be able to satisfy you after using Bass Boss but you are looking small and lightweight and possibly affordable so I will suggest the Polar 12's. For a 100 person wedding, average room you described you could probably get away with one. they are around 60 Lbs with all the pieces 47 or so just the bottom part they go for around $1200 in the US I believe

Having heard the EV Evolve and Bose L1 either of those would work also

The rcf tt515 is 21lbs for the top and 44 for the sub. Currently pricing is around $2500 a piece.

But he doesn't deejay for classy Italians where caviar is served during cocktail hour. He deejays for people who like lifted Ford Trucks and drinks Coors Light at these events.

Think Ford of Speakers! Not Ferrari...
