Ok here is a higher resolution version that I posted to MySpace....

Object moved

The question is should something like this be included on a home page or even somewhere within your website or should it be kept to places such as YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook, etc... as advertisement to bring them to your website?

Not bad, only thing I see is that you do not look like you are really having fun or excited. You might be, but the impression I got was SMILE DUDE!! If you are doing a promo you you show some expression. Sorry for the blast.

Believe it or not I was smiling... I'm not one of those toothy smiler... I've always been self-conscience of how it makes me look.

No worries I didn't take it as a blast... you are right and if I had it to do over again I probably would have smile more and pay attention to when I'm being videoed.

I was going to say pay less attention to when the camera is on you. People tend to stiffen up when the camera is on them. There are at least 3 times you look directly in to the camera and as a rule that's a no-no.

Make yourself an extra in the production. Be seen but not noticed and be natural doing what you are doing. The equipment and the party become the star and you become wallpaper

Other than that I like the video and the concept you took on it

Yup and it does very well I might add.

I'm not doubting that it does a good job. I own one myself. I just find 1 system doesn't meet my sound requirements.

I'm planning to add a second and give it a chance, when I finish paying off the 1st system here shortly.

I'm glad it is working for you, are you planning to add a second?

Your lighting. I seen 2 colorpallets, 2 scanners, and 2 vue 3. Do you include this with all events?

Are you running everything DMX?

What scanners are you using?

Thanks! Cam

Oh I wasn't assuming that you thought it would do a good job or not.... I know you do more club events and I can see where if you have a very rowdy crowd one might not be enough but, I have done some small bar gigs with it too and it seems to do very well there too.

Cool, me too.... I can't wait to get the second set.

No I don't bring those to every event just to the ones where the lighting upgrade is asked for... I have two other lights that I had brought with me but choose not to use due to the ceiling decorations I felt they would detract rather than enhance... they were Mini-line dancers... the other reason is because they are non DMX.

Every thing was on DMX with the exception of the Vue III that one is a bit of a bitch to program scenes. Way to many variables.

The scanners were DJ Scan 250s.... I got them for a steal when they got discontinued at GC.

I agree with Madness..
the only shots of you need a little more...something.
first of all, it seems like you're hiding
and since we cant see your body, it looks like you're not doing anything.
how about a shot of you
on the dance floor (not necessarily dancing)
laughing and hanging out with the b/g
or doing something other than standing
gives you a more "personal" touch.

and as with the others here
I am not judging you, just the impression I get watching it the first time

p.s.
kudos on the music, and the production!
and the length of it is not too long or to short
just right!

I actually had no creative say in the final production and nothing was planned at all... I just got chummy with the videographer the B&G had hired and he offered to shoot some video for me and put that together.... if I were paying for this I would have had more creative input to be sure....

As for it looking like I'm hiding or not doing anything I'm not sure what could have been shown as far as what I was doing behind the scenes. I don't use turn tables or some fancy set of CD decks... I simply use programing, albiet expensive programing, to playback with.

I'm a total white guy... I can't dance... not to mention I'm very subconscience of how I look while dancing always have been... I know this is a bad traite but, I do enjoy the music.

I've been doing this since 2005 and I just now learned, well sortof learned, the Cha Cha Slide...

I do think when I setup and do another video I will smile more obviously. I was smiling in every shot on that video if you can believe that. I don't like toothy grins, at least not on my face anyway...

Jeez, I feel like I'm confessing my mortal sins here....

Anyway you guys are right... when I'm able to shoot another one I will look a little more animated.... hopefully. :sqcool:

Great video.

I'm thinking of doing a video as well.

Do I hire someone to do it or do I do it myself?

I have one local guy who does video, but he's friends with the competition.

What programs are out there if I want to do it myself?

Jokerwild, did you start with a storyboard or just shot wild and edit.
