Who is the first one on here to buy a Rev 7 and give us a review? I hate those controllers like the Rev 1 because you have to use an outside source to connect it up to so you can use it get sound. That means having to use something else to hook up speakers so you can hear the music. Also my experience is the headphone volume on those entry level controllers is terrible. I have a hard time hearing what I'm going to setup to mix the next song because the volume is so low. At least that's my experience with the SB 3. Not to mention it has a mini plug in for the headphone jack. The ones that are super great are the ones that give you the option of using either one. Mini and the quarter inch.Rev7-$1899
Rev1-$259
Who will be next trying to out do that new Pioneer Rev 7 controller?
No need because I'm used to what I use and they work great for me. I shine with the controllers I use even though I haven't had to use the backup controller. I have a question. Are any of you happy with the controller you use and if not what would you like to have?See if your partner will spring for one....

I have no plans to waste money on another controller. I'm booking weddings higher than ever before, and don't even use a controller. I haven't used one in years now.

Ricky, what have you been using?
My partner bought a touch screen PC and put VDJ on it. He did a great job with it and I couldn't do anything with it. I tried it out when he first bought it and ITwo laptops with touch screens, and good ol Virtual DJ directly.
When I am in the mood to use head phones (I rarely do use them any more), I will do some options adjusting in VDJ, and plug an external USB Sound card in to plug head phones into.

never touched it again. He stopped using it. I couldn't understand why other then he said he didn't want to use it because people wouldn't spend enough money for him to use it. I have to use headphones when I'm working. I need them to setup the song I'm going to mix next and to listen to songs I'm not sure of what it is or how it will sound.
Okay, I'm making myself sound old... but I love the new technology, too.
For me a lot of the events I do the crowd is looking for me to mix. That's what some who have been to an event I've done before expect and would be pissed off if I didn't.The first time I used Virtual DJ at an event fully was in 2006. Keyboard shortcuts only... tab to move to the other deck, spacebar to play. It worked fine, but once I got my hands on a DAC-3 controller it was game-changing. I missed being able to mix like I had done on turntables and on a Numark dual-CD player before VDJ.

For me it's a necessity. I like to feel what I'm doing with wheels on a controller and that why I love my 6000 controllers. They are free spending wheels instead of those ones that don't move freely. I'm just use to doing things the way I do because it's comfortable for me that way. A friend tried to show me how he mixes and it works for him. I just decided to do it my way because it works for me.Just as a point you can mix without a controller...Probably easier with but it's not a necessity
