Who knows, maybe Mackie will make it back into mainstream DJ land ...

Pricing looks to be $700 for the 10". $800 for the 12" and $900 for the 15"

From their website:

The original SRM Series was a game-changer when it was introduced in 1999. And the series is setting out to make its mark once again. This required a deep look at what matters today in a portable loudspeaker. Power, sound quality, and reliability. We didn't hold back. We combined our most rock-solid amplifier platform ever, premium transducers, and the best acoustic tuning in the industry – the result is a new level of performance that cannot be beat at this price.
  • Best performance, sound quality, and reliability in its class
  • Industry-leading 2000W Class-D amplifier with transparent system limiting and protection
  • Superior sound with Advanced Impulse™ DSP tuning and Intelligent Bass Management™
  • High-performance transducers and custom SymX™ Horn for unmatched clarity and accuracy
  • SRM Mix Control™ built-in 4-channel digital mixer with Bluetooth®
  • Complete wireless control via the SRM Connect™ app
  • Wirelessly link 2 SRM | V-Class speakers together for music streaming applications plus control
  • Dual-angle pole mount plus angled design for use as a floor monitor

If the speaker lives up to the specs they should be great. The 15 is only 48 pounds too which is a bonus

Sadly, you can't trust the specs anymore. I'm sure it's a fine sounding speaker, but all of these DSP-driven things are using the same chipsets and amplifiers inside. There are SO many different speakers on the market today that I find it hard to believe anyone's actually buying them all.

They are probably NOT buying them all. This goes right to the Active/Passive Speaker - Pickup Truck discussion we just had.

Almost no one still runs passive speakers - everyone's switched over to active, but that market has now become saturated. They had a good run, got a slight recent boost from the "Line Source" aficionados, but now they need to make you think you need something else, so you'll upgrade again. Upon first blush, it looks like that "something else" is going to be "wireless connectivity".
