I added a couple of facade options recently, and this was my first time out with one of them. I wish I had gotten a slightly darker looking wood grain, but the system itself worked pretty well and I look forward to other options.

I can stretch any number of patterns across this frame and create different looks for each client if I want. But the original two I bought were the wood grain, and a white with gold pattern.

I will still have the black Dragon frontboard in rotation as well. But I just wanted to add some options for clients where the black didn't match the aesthetic of their event.

i like the potential of this... but im not a fan of the wood print option... in a real wood setting as pictured it looks super fake... like it was drawn with sharpies

id like to see the white with gold...

There is no doubt this is the better looking option right now:

Now THAT is hot!

black and silver would be a nice option too!

how much for the replacement skrims?

$60, not bad at all. But the shipping of the thing was killer. I don't know how much it will be to ship a single fabric. But it probably makes sense to bundle purchases.

I hate facades, but this is certainly different and will stand out!!. You didn't want to go with the open look with decks built into the table (similar to Taso)?

That's what I am leaning towards, but as of now, I can find one that I would buy as they all take so long to setup.

I like the look of those... but I have had several reasons that I never pulled the trigger.

Most of the DJs I see using them have a performance position... and then behind them have another table for production items. I assume things like wireless mics, etc. are normally run from that position.

Many of the venues I work in are exceptionally tight space wise. Sometimes just my table is pushing it. I can't commit to something that will have an even bigger footprint.

I also worry, being tall (6'5"), that any of the pre-made versions are going to sit too low for my liking.

I kind of like having mixing on display. We've chatted about that before. But the more I've thought about it... I don't think my clients or the planners I work with care. So I'm just trying to give them options that they like versus what I think is cool.

My personal preference ... but I like the wood one better.

Are you at liberty to say what facade it is? I know you run the SZ, so this is fairly big (8'?).

The facade came from Milin Designs I think. I was interacting directly on Facebook with the manufacturer. You can basically pick whatever of their designs and frame options you want. It shipped straight from China.

Funny you ask about the table... I bought a 4 foot table so it would sit tighter behind the facade. But the SZ felt too big for the first time... It has me reconsidering my stance on the Pioneer DDJ 1000 SRT...

That will be for another post. But this was way tighter than I wanted for my work space:

Why do you hate facades?

Let me suggest you get a case to house that controller with a built in laptop shelf to sit your laptop on. That's what I use for my controller.

Ross, I think that wood like facade would look better if the slabs were vertical....IMHO.
They do seem to have a vertical wood pattern, so maybe as it ages Ross might replace it:

The one I ordered looked darker online than what i got. This was what I thought it was going to look like:

But you guys are right, a darker vertical pattern would be a better option. There are literally hundreds of options too... so we'll see. I could end up doing a handful of them.
