New EV Evolve Speakers Coming....

It's the Evolve 30 with a 10" sub... makes no sense to me.

Bring out one with a 15" sub. THEN we are talking.

While I agree with you I think a 15 would defeat the purpose of the Evolve. A lot of the sales are because it's lightweight the 15 would change that

I agree that a 15" would defeat the deal, it's the same thing I think of when I hear of DJs bringing an extra 18" sub. I am always saying no one speaker will be cool for every gig, but buying the "50's" and always bringing an extra sub seems silly.

What sub is in the 50? Of the units I've heard, the bottom end seems pretty amazing.
It has a 12" sub. And no, it's not "amazing". I have 4 at one time and the bass always required an additional sub. So, no thanks!

I went back to Bose and very happy I did.

Perhaps I should've described it differently. Did it compete with my old Yorkvilles? No. But it has surprised me at how much bottom end it actually does produce. I'm over wanting room-crushing bottom end but do think the EVs are doing a very nice job for a good-sounding, very portable system.

they sound great at medium volumes but have no kick at higher. Magic, which bose are you running now?

L1 with B2?

Two L1, M2 with B2 subs.

Ya, it's an awesome system. Used it for years, and I miss the airy sound the Model II delivers, especially when the T1 is used with DJ Preset. I always ran a pair but in Mono as no one stands in the sweet spot to get the stereo effect anyhow.

I've never found the L1/B2 combo "amazing" .. certainly adequate, but only so much can be gotten with 2 10" drivers being fed 250w of power.

yes, but a lot more punch than any other of the collum array systems and a lot nicer sound. It hangs really well with the MUCH higher powered and bigger dual 12" DB Tech.

But I agree to a point, which is why I added F1 subs. The F1 subs blow away the dual 12 in the ES1203 in terms of low-frequency extension, but I was okay giving that up for more upper-end kick.

I ended up mainly using the B1s with F1s, Not B2s as the B1s sounds better and made more sense when combined with the F1.

I got more complaints about being too loud with the B2s than any other system I used for an extended period. 100 feet back it would rattle things crazy and I got many venues telling me to disconnect the "subs". I even got banned from one venue.. Go figure!

Nope.

Way more punch from a Evolve 50 or RCF-EVOX12 rig.

If you say so.

As to the remainder of that post,

But again, I defer to The Platters:

I will respectfully disagree.

I had the systems side by side and the Bose system was much better low end than the Evolve 50.

The MAIN reason that I got rid of my Evolve 50's were because I was concerned about my hearing. The Evolves let a TON of sound escape out the back of the column. TOO much. I would go home with ringing of the ears, etc. Look at the reviews. That is one of the biggest complaints.
